Well another night in on my own.. *twiddles thumbs* I still can't motivate myself to finish my list though :o

OH has gone out with his drinking buddies, however, he's driving "because he doesn't want to spend loads of money" ooopppss I think i'm teaching him too well!! :rotfl: No doubt as he's driving the boys will be buying him diet cokes to say thank you so i'm sure he'll come home with every penny he left with.

    Money saving stuff this week
    • managed to get the 500 extra clubcard points code that martin put on the newsletter this week - will swap to £20 vouchers to go out with next year:j
    • new spreadsheet all up and running for next year :j
    • payday on Friday :T:T
    • no more spends for xmas - it's all done - I can relax:D
    • sorted out benefits package at work - me and OH are covered for critical illness and private health care insurance through work
    • also added additional contributions to my pension through the benefits package - I've only been paying into a pension for 8 years  and as i'd like to retire early I thought it best if I contributed a bit more to my fund to make up the shortfall I may have. Don't really understand pensions but ours is based on final salary, which I believe is decent, must learn more about them!
    • damson gin has been decanted and given out as presents, chilli jam has also been sent on it's merry way :xmassmile

Suppose I better wrap a few more presents.. although a :coffee: seems more inviting ;)

    xx

    Pay day Shuffle.. :j

YBS still haven't opened my second savings offset *sigh* I'm fed up of chasing them but I guess another phone call will have to be made.. I can't check whether it's been received as helpfully the Royal Mail haven't updated the tracking of the letter on their website even though I sent it last Saturday.

It's been a very spendy day today - 2nd crown appointment at the dentist cost me £250  also popped to the shops as I was in town anyway and bought some Daddy slippers for a little extra xmas present - cost £14. In Debenhams there were some for £30  do people really spend £30 on slippers??? shocking...

Banked my dentist claim cheque for the previous visit so £240 in.. TSB were brilliant for banking cheques, took about 2 seconds, impressed with them so far all through my swap over :T

Currently on hold to YBS, thought i'd get it over and done with:rotfl: they don't seem to have found my form yet so... :(

e.t.a. they've found it :j:j it'll be open next week some time... I bet they think i'm a right whinger, I ring them about everything :rotfl:

    Evening..

Busy day today, the whole house has been blitzed top to bottom and all my presents are now wrapped and under the tree, final menu board is made and ready to deliver, bedding just needs washing for sister and I'm still ignoring painting the bathroom ;) so 90% of my to do list is to-do'd...:j

It's also the father's birthday today so we always make him birthday tea - steak pie and chips :rotfl: he's easy to please. The pie filling's been in the slow cooker all day so should be melt in the mouth  and I bought him some bits from Th0rtons (diabetic chocs) with a voucher earned from CP and a CD he wanted.

Received nice post this morning, I always love nice post...

    - A competition win of a bottle of oyster sauce - it was a free sample really, but I think they liked to make it feel a bit more exclusive
    - a £10 sainsbugs voucher from VO - I was watching Text Santa last night and they were supporting a few of the charities I support so I've donated the £10 to them

A nice email also arrived from Mysuperm*rket offering up to £20 cashback for buying certain products in my big shop.. so I did :rotfl: now just need to chase for the cashback and make sure it comes through. I bought some bits for my dad as he's not really a cook so I thought this would help him have a bit of variety in his meals.

Naughty xmas nibbles have started so I need to put a bit of a hold on that.. don't want to be putting all 12lbs back on that I've lost  otherwise I've just wasted money..

Hope everyone's having a lovely weekend xx

The bathroom has been painted :j:j:j:j duck egg blue..

Thought i'd just get it done and dusted this morning... no thinking, just do it.. and it got done!!

I had to mix two lots of paint together to get the right colour as the stuff I bought was a bit dark but it was stuff the builders left so no cost to us :T

Hoping to get lots of Debenh*ms vouchers for Chrimble so I can get some new luxurious slate colour towels. The ones we currently have are at least 15 years old :o and a bit tatty now.

So I think my Xmas to-do list is finally completed :j

    really...

    oh... :(:(

    that's disappointing..

Well here's hoping our debt is not the one that's fixed and it gets lost in the ether..

I'll do the monthly round up as I think it should be according to my spreadsheets..

    Dec Monthly figures
    Outstanding Mortgage £145,081.90
    Family Loan £1,580 (OH's)
    Offset pot - £10,637.01
Monthly interest saved and OP'd £45.49
New end date - Aug 2029

Total Debt as present moment £136,0024.78 -1,011.67

e.t.a. my spreadsheet was slightly out by about £2 so I've changed the figures to the actuals...
