    Afternoon all...

I'm currently sitting in the lovely afternoon sun/shade doing surveys, no point sitting around if you're not earning money from it.. and the wifi reaches out here!:rotfl:

I've now managed to get a couple of payouts, so £10 voucher for Deb'nhams and a £10 capito1 bonds voucher on its way. :j I will be able to get my new bedding soon!

We've had a lovely picnic lunch in the garden this afternoon and other than some sausages I managed to make everything from my stores... falafel, frittata, feta salad, quesadilla (sp?) muffaletta, hm sausage roll and hm coleslaw.

Grocery spend for the week has snuck up though - I was hoping to only have to spend the £10 on fruit and veg, however a quick trip to Waitrose (for cereal and salad) and that's another £10 gone :o

    bye for now xx

Waitrose and food budgets don't go hand in hand, I found that out the hard way! Hope you're enjoying the sun :)

I don't find it too bad with prices as long as you're careful with what you buy.. although we very rarely use it for a big shop as too much ends up in the trolley as everything looks so nice! :rotfl:

I did get £2.60 cashback on my items as I scanned them onto Sh0pitize, the offers aren't usually relevant to me but this time they had some bits I fancied..

Day off tomorrow as I have a hospital appointment, great for no spending on petrol :T but bad for sitting in hospital corridors being bored out of my mind :(

:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool: It's sunny again, it's the weekend and I have the whole week off work :j brilliant Saturday for me... hope everyone else is having a great weekend!

Bit of drama this week for me though, I broke part of my tooth (molar) off on Wednesday so emergency trip to the dentist.. it may end up being a root canal procedure  but so far they've just filled it and are hoping for the best! £49 for the pleasure, however, this is covered by my work's dental plan so i'll get the money back. Just need to get round to filling in the form!

I've also noticed that I've been walking around at work with a massive hole in the seam of my trousers, right on my bottom! Luckily I wear black pants so I don't think anyone's noticed but I'll have to go and buy some new trousers this week!:rotfl::o i'll be mortified if anyone has seen it!

    Other money spending :
    • ended up ordering a weekly shop  £40
    • friends birthday - £15 flowers, £5 on a poppet bouquet, £3 on some cheeky new lindt choc that I fancied trying :D and 99p on a card
    • the landscaper fella came round to price up the garden - 3 separate jobs so we can pick and choose which we want to have done... I don't want to spend more than £1500(in reality it'll prob be more :o) at least OH gets the materials at cost
    • hoover hose broken - ordered a new one from Fleabay - £15 - robot hoover doesn't do stairs
    Money savings :
    • £20 in vouchers arrived - money trf'd to savings
    • £0.01 in interest in my instant access ac - trf'd to other savings :rotfl:
    • tidied £2.00 from current account to savings
    • used soda crystals and vinegar to clear/clean the washing machine and dishwasher of limescale - also did the kitchen sink whilst I was at it
Must get back into the savings business now, I've paid my sister back her loan so the importance has dwindled a little. I've been forgetting to trf my overtime and voucher rewards to savings the last few months... need to get back to it!

Sorry I've waffled on a bit haven't I... off to catch up with everyone xxx

Thanks QB.. it'd be better if I actually got round to doing as much exercise as I talk about :rotfl:I blame the heat at the moment - it's too hot to move!!!

List of jobs for my week off - some nicer than others :
    • [STRIKE]tile kitchen[/STRIKE] - mostly done, the person lending us the electric tile cutter couldn't find it so we had to go and buy a manual one instead £18.. borrowing electric one from someone else at w'end to finish off the fiddly bits
    • [STRIKE]pick paint colour for kitchen - Olive green or Parisian blue?[/STRIKE] - going with Olive green, fetching paint tomorrow
    • [STRIKE]paint kitchen[/STRIKE] - mostly done
    • [STRIKE]find/buy floating shelves for kitchen[/STRIKE] - found them but can't afford to buy them this month
    • [STRIKE]paint the rest of the garage[/STRIKE] - done
    • [STRIKE]have relaxing day at spa[/STRIKE] - done :D
    • [STRIKE]go to Cheshire Oaks (don't spend too much money!)[/STRIKE] - done - spent £7 on a top and £11 on refreshments
    • [STRIKE]sort out spare room for sister staying[/STRIKE] - done
    • [STRIKE]go to butchers (bulk buy of meat)[/STRIKE] - £70 for chicken, bacon, ribs, pork and kebabs - will last us a fair few months
    • [STRIKE]visit the local "American" diner[/STRIKE] - just because we've never been and we've lived here all our lives.. :o - went to the one at Cheshire Oaks instead
    • buy some new trousers :o - need to still get
    • [STRIKE]get paid :j so money shuffling to do, credit card to be paid off[/STRIKE] - done, shocked at how much was on it!
Total spend on kitchen so far - £60 for tiles, £26 paint, £18 tile cutter and £39 for all other bits.. :T not too bad at all - need to still buy shelves and at some point before the winter, shutters!

Hi Peonie - definitely feels like a weight has gone, she never asked for it or pushed me to pay it but I hate being indebted to people I know (and the money is no longer in my savings, tempting me to spend!)

My instant access savings total is now £48.03 :rotfl:everything else is locked away for the next few months! I'm not quite sure how we'll pay for the garden yet if it needs paying before September
