I'm sure we can come to some arrangement!
Had a quiet day today, made up the meal planner for the week and did half of the Bob Harper Ripped Core work out  then sat and looked at my family tree again.
It's all getting a bit complicated for me now :rotfl:I haven't got the greatest attention span in the world so trying to work out all the generations it all a bit taxing on the brain!
Off to make some lunch for tomorrow and then off to beddy-byes

Aug Monthly figures
Outstanding Mortgage £157,433.67
Family Loan £4,550 (OH will pay this each month)
Daily interest £17.26
Offset Savings £12,703.49
Total Debt as present moment £149,280.18 (-1,530.38):j:T
Managed to get in under the £150k! Very pleased with this - I think we started this journey 18-20 months ago with around £176k debt (i'll go check the start of my diary) so very pleased with the progress we're making.
e.t.a. Checking back on my diary - when I first started we owed £342,367.27 :eek: but obviously this wasn't the real figures we were working with as we were waiting for our first house to sell...after we settled into this house our total debt was £185,884 with just under £10k saving so not far from my estimate above :j

i'm pleased with what we've acheived.
This weeks dabblings..- gone through all my survey sites and updated my spreadsheet - £10 voucher ordered from MySurvey for Amazon (need a VBA excel book for work, may as well get it free!) - money moved to savings
- lovely postman bought more goodies - my puzzle book and good food mag (free with subscriptions)
- lovely postman also bought me a telling off letter from the hospital - apparently I've missed an appointment that I didn't know I had because no one informed me  I shall be ringing them on Tuesday and complaining!
- broken my leg muscles by doing free workouts from Fitness TV - Bob harper is my nemesis!
- stuck to menu plan :T even made homemade dominos which was very tasty!
- OH bought a bargain N*xt suit off Eb*y for £20 - only needs it for one night and he's shrunk out of his other one
- £2.22 TT moved to savings

Woo hoo just checked FD on the off chance they'd sorted my regular saver out and they have.. £124.41 interest added.
Now I need to decide which new ISA to open to put it in and fill up...
OH has just come home with three bottles of red wine that his sister-in-law has kindly donated too.. AND the sun's just come out.happy days..
e.t.a :
Just checked my Ha1ifax ISA and that's paid some interest too.. £183.80 interest. This one is a 2 year fixed so I've still got a year to go..
So questions, because I really don't get ISA's- What do I do with this interest? do I have to leave it in there or can I remove it?
- If I do leave it in there is it classed as part of my ISA balance for 2013/14 - I've just opened a new ISA for the FD money to go into before I realised Halifax had paid out?
- Can I add another £5760 into the 2 yr fixed ISA as my 2013/14 ISA money instead of the one I've just opened (haven't funded it yet)

- What do I do with this interest? do I have to leave it in there or can I remove it? You can remove it if you want but if you want to put it back in it will count towards your £5760 credit.
- If I do leave it in there is it classed as part of my ISA balance for 2013/14 No. - I've just opened a new ISA for the FD money to go into before I realised Halifax had paid out? As long as YOU only credit 1 ISA each financial year then you are OK.
- Can I add another £5760 into the 2 yr fixed ISA as my 2013/14 ISA money instead of the one I've just opened (haven't funded it yet) Not sure, some new ISA accounts require you to transfer a certain amount of money within a period of time. What does yours say? Can you still close the new account? If you can close it then you will be able to transfer the FD cash into old ISA

Thanks for your help Peonie xx You wouldn't think I worked in the world of finance would you :rotfl:I just have so much trouble understanding ISA's - something doesn't click! Give me mortgage deals or other people's accounts and i'm fine
but ISA's
I think I will open another FD saver just because it keeps me in that mentality of regularly saving.. the year after that we're hoping to get an offset mortgage so all the savings will be linked to that so it's only in the short term anyway. It's only 6% this year though...Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0
