Evening all.. this week has gone so quick I haven't had time to get on here much! hope everyone's doing ok
Bit of a spendy week for me this week, I went to the hairdressers to have a revampI'm now the owner of a full head of highlights on dyed light brown hair (with no grey :j) and a lovely cut and blow dry to boot. It cost > £100 in all  but I feel better for it and no more having to dye my hair myself and it looking awful!
I'll have to go back in 4-5 weeks for a root touch up but that should only cost £17... my hair grows really quick unfortunately and my white/grey fringe shows through really quickly:(
In other spending, apart from food shopping it's been £0!
OH is off to a BBQ tonight (free tea for him) so I might find out some old chick flick DVD's and a have a quiet relaxing night watching tat.. :T

Just finished reading your diary I am very impressed with your surveys vouchers etc. just got back into surveys but not at your level. Thank you for the mention of the choc hampers with Mr T vouchers was wondering how I was going to use mine for Christmas this year and the hampers will solve a few present problems :T
You also reminded me I needed to order a fuel filter for my car been online to do so but now OH not sure if it is the right one so will need to take mine off tomorrow to check but at least it is his problem now and I have bookmarked the page
I have been very remiss with regard to quidco which I have sorted out this morning linking my current spending card but you referred to e bay or was it amazon (oops old age setting in need to check) and nectar which I must do we don't have many places for nectar round here so it tends to stay in the drawer so I must dust it off and make sure I am getting all I can.
You are doing so well a real inspiration.

I have also started making cakes for friends in the last few months really enjoying it except for the occasional stressful moment need to cut back on cakey spends though. I have enrolled in a couple of courses at my local college starting next month really looking forward to it - me time0 -

Ahhh it doesn't seem to like a post with smileys! please imagine smileys - MSE doesn't seem to like emotion today!
I've linked my nect*r card to my eb*y account - that way when you buy stuff you get a little extra! I'm not sure how many points you get per £1 but it's something for nothing anyway.
Have you also joined nect*r adpoints? You get points for watching adverts(30secs-1min long) again you don't get loads of points but I get about 100 aweek - in the year I've earnt £25 - i'll have this mortgage paid off in no time!
ermmm I can't remember the next bit I wrote but i'm sure it was helpful *insert smiley face*
Good luck with your caking, I really enjoyed it when I went to college. I went 7 years ago now.. wow it only seems like yesterday!! I look forward to seeing some pictures of your creations..

Just about to link my nect*r card to eb*y as OH seems to have identified the correct fuel filter on there but he has gone to have another look  not holding my breath could be a while
Off to see if I can find the adpoints :T

OK not that simple card cancelled because I haven't used it recently no Mr S or Homeb*ase locally so I will have to go to a garage and get a new one feeling grumpy and OH has kindly stunk the house out with petrol fumes showing me a fuel filter I didn't really want to see

You can order it online.. I can't link for you as everything i'm doing seems to be blocked but if you google "apply online nectar card" it'll bring up the correct page.
Hope that helps xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

Decided to have a bit of a sort out today of my recipes. I have numerous recipes books, leaflets and pages of magazines stuffed in a cupboard in a very dis-organised fashion, hence the reason for me not visiting said cupboard very often. Now, after an afternoon of typing (and some distractions on MSE and candy crush) I have started my recipe file.. ta daaa
I'm hoping that this will help me be MSE in a few ways- keeping our meals varied
- easier to complete a meal plan (once the index is done)
- easier to stick to the meal plan, as variety is the spice of life and all that
- less takeaways
- no food wastage - I can always find a recipe that has the food I need to use up
I'm also cooking tomorrows tea using the rest of the veg in a Bolognese sauce from the hairy bikers.. thanks Dave and Si! All I need to do when I come in tomorrow night is cook the pasta..
I feel more organised already!!Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
