Back from hols... spend not too bad
    • food out and about - £60
    • snacks for in the house - £10
    • underwear shopping - £84 (4 bras desperately needed!)
    • history tour thing - £14
    • petrol cost - £50 ish
    • toll road cost - £9.30:eek:
We used vouchers for some of the meals out and my sister paid for some so food spends were ok.

We got to go on a history tour of the area my sister lives in, part of the Brighton Festival, which was great. We visited the private gardens where Lewis Carroll used to stay, they were stunning, designed with little woodland glades and all the bluebells and tulips were out... luckily we had really nice weather so all the flowers were in full bloom!

Glad to get home to have a rest though, she does make me walk a lot, and I managed to walk up and down 28 flights of stairs in one day according to my fitbit!

Well done on the exercise :j
I think the nice weather is motivating for that! Or do what I've done and get pets that need walking and riding. I swear I wouldn't do anything if I wasn't forced to!

Thanks Laurajo! You're mortgage figures are fantastic, i'll nip over to your diary later and see what your tips are!

Did my Lid1 shop this morning, spent £30 and got a £5 discount. OH added it up wrong and we were 50p under £30, cue trying to find something that was near to the till to add to the shopping - ended up with a packet of sunflower seeds to add to salads! I shan't be relying on OH again - and to think he's an accountant :rotfl:

Not keen on shopping at Lid1 - I know people say it's cheaper but I spotted a few things that were more expensive than Tesc0 and Sains.. I don't think i'll be going back there again (except at xmas for the gingerbread!)

Off to start making my models for the Angry birds cake I have to make this week.. then we're possibly having a BBQ tonight :T

    Have a good day xx

Thanks Peonie, but it's only on hold until we get a proper seating area built rather than not buying it at all :o

We're trying to make the garden a little nicer to use, at the moment we have no seating area, the grass is mainly moss, there are nettles and weeds everywhere and the plants that were there before were all ground cover plants (which I hate).

I've pulled up everything in two of the beds and replaced them with some lovely hebes and euonymuses (what's the plural?euonymus's or euonymi:rotfl:) and a few bedding plants. Then covered the rest of the ground with bark chippings, to stop the pesky weeds!

I think it's definitely going to be a labour of love! :D

    Money savings this week :
    • £5 Ha1ifax reward moved to savings pot
    • £8.31 f1exdirect interest moved to savings pot
    • £5 voucher for Tesc0 next shop (plus £1.32 price check voucher)
    • salad leaves have now sprouted - just a few more weeks until we have to stop buying salad :T
    • apples tree, strawberries, blackberries and raspberries all look to be producing lots of fruit :j
    • surveys all done
    • free L0vefilm trial for 2 months
    Money spending :
    • £50 on garden plants and hose bits
    • £14 on pumps and slippers
    • £9 for a hair crayon to cover roots between dyeing
All next week is training at work, as well as getting my normal work done, I expect some overtime again! I also said i'd go to Zumba/Boogie bounce with a friend - which i'm equally dreading and looking forward too at the same time.. :T:eek:

    xx

    Hi all,

How is everyone? the weather has turned here now :( so it back to thunderous rain storms and black clouds every day so the tumble dryer has been put to some use again!

Jealous of those who have managed to get away for a bit of sun but the gardens are looking great with all the free watering! (see I found the silver lining!)

    • 2 cake tins from H0bbycraft - £25 - needed as someone has asked for a size that I don't have.. only helping out at the last minute because their usual person hasn't got time.. wish i'd not bothered!
