    Feb Monthly figures
    Outstanding Mortgage £160,113.13
    Family Loan £8,499.78
    Daily interest £17.56
    Emergency Savings £10,000

Total Debt as present moment £158,612.91(-1922.59:j:j)

    Weight target 42lbs/6lbs:o

I'm shocked at how much I've been able to pay off this month just from watching what I spent and adding bits and pieces I earned from surveys/vouchers into my savings!!

    The breakdown :
    Survey money earnt - £97.14:T
    Mortgage reduction - £508.37
    Regular savers - £550
Overtime put straight into savings - £250
Premium bonds bought (OH gives me the money) £350
Interest earnt on saver - £151.22:T
    Tidy ups/rounding - £15.86

Putting my overtime payment straight in to savings meant I didn't waste the money on "stuff" instead, so I think if I can i'll do this each month. I would have to live on my wages if I didn't earn overtime so I can live on them now!

    Next month's goal - Mortgage under £160,000 :j

    Great progress, well done :j.

    Thanks guys xxx

I've had a mad, crazy week at work so I've not been able to come on MSE much - there's some catching up to do on everyone's diaries!!

Some money savings that have happened :
    • £20 requested from Rew*rded Op
    • 100 bonus nect*r points for signing up to their weekly email
    • refused to join in with the Subw*y order at work - saved £5 ish
    • Ocad0 shop - free delivery and £9 off voucher - total £51 spent
    • requested £36.18 from TCB - it seems you can get your reward in Tesc0 clubcard points now but I went for Amaz0n vouchers
    • overtime pymt transferred to savings - £300
    • council tax payment for March transferred to savings - £177
    • transferred a 43p tidy up
    Some money spending :
    • It was my sister's b'day so I've bought flowers (cashback and free delivery) and a gift card so she can replace some jewellery she lost
I've got another horrendously busy week at work next week to look forward to, but then it's my birthday weekend and I've booked a few days off to relax!:j:j:j Can't wait..

Off to catch up with y'all xxxx

I opened a savings account with the Ha1ifax last year which had an interest rate of 2.8% for 12 months, this offer has now expired and dropped to 0.1% gross  so I need to move it!

I've spent the last few hours trying to decide what to do and where to transfer my balance over to.. I've decided to go with the Ha1ifax again but at 1.55% gross it's a pretty poor show.. my decision was based on the following
    • I've already filled an ISA for this year (2012-13)
    • it was easy to open an account with Ha1ifax and the money has already been transferred
    • it's only temporary as I think I will have enough to pay off my part of the family loan by Apr/May so will be emptying it anyway
Once the family loan is paid off then i'll open a new ISA for next year so I'll search a little better for a decent interest rate :D

On a side note, I've just told OH how much we've paid off the mortgage/loan last year and he seems quite impressed.. lets hope it inspires him to join me on the MF journey.

    xx

I'm off work now until Wednesday :j:jwhich is just going to be lovely. No petrol spend but I am going to have to buy many cake ingredients for my birthday cakes to take into work..

I'm not sure who started the traditional of taking cakes into the office when it's your birthday but I'm sure it should be other people bringing cakes in for you:rotfl:

    This weeks savings..
    • completed loads of surveys on Onep0ll today and quite a few ads on adp0ints for those of you who use it.. I think I managed nearly £2 on Onep0ll..
    • ordered Sainsbugs voucher from VO
    • water bill was £3.21 under budget - popped it into savings
    • entered my March update for MFIT - should be in the green:T
    • have completed clicksnap on Quidc0 - lets see if I get any cashback - should be 70p on Coke
    • free breakfast at work on Thursday
    this week's spending..
    • None! I haven't been near a shop or purchased anything online since last Saturday :j:j:j
    Have a good evening xx

    Hi all,

It's been a little while since I popped on MSE, I've managed to read a few diaries but not been able to post much..

Not much to report as it's not pay day until next week, however I have updated my MFIT targets and i'm happy to report that i'm in the green zone! :j Hopefully it'll stay that way until the end of the challenge!

    Spending this week -
Takeaways and unnecessary food shopping have been the norm, which is no good for the waistline or the pocket so from tomorrow we're a strictly egg-white omelette and salad household (except for MIL's birthday meal on Weds)

    Saving this week -
Ermm none that I can think of :o ohh I had a free hot cross bun for breakfast, that's got to count a bit surely!

Have a good MSE weekend xxx

So I've spent a rainy, dull morning/afternoon catching up with diaries with a lovely mug of tea:coffee:... and a few people have opened a N*tionwide Flexdirect account so I thought i'd have a mosey on over and take a look at this shiney new offer... inquisitive minds and all that.

10 minutes later and i'm the owner of another current account :D jeez i'm glad I have spreadsheets to keep track of all these things!!:rotfl:

Thanks to everyone who posted about it x

Also had a check through all my survey sites and managed to order a couple of vouchers..
