Pay day today so my usual money shuffling commences..
- shuffle money to ha1ifax and back
- pay off credit card:eek: we won't talk about that:o
- put money to bills account (includes council tax which i'm not sure if we pay this month or not, will wait and see, if not i'll be putting it into a OP)
Outstanding Mortgage £160,652.36
Family Loan £9,914.04
Daily interest £17.61
Emergency Savings £10,000
Total Debt as present moment £160,566.40(-635.21)
Weight target 42lbs/5lbs
Not as great as I'd hoped for this month, I've had to buy a new laptop and I've bought a treadmill so it's eaten into my savings somewhatand then my car has to go for MOT on Saturday so i'm expecting that to cost a bit too
On the bright side, I've not had to go to work today (took my time off in Lieu) and I can happily sit watching the snow fall with a cup of tea and a spare cupcake that I made last night!:T
Ohh just noticed as well that the Family loan has fallen to below £10,000 :j:j:j one barrier broke, onto the £5k barrier!
Hope your all cosy and snug inside and if you're out and about be safe xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

You are close to £160K, will there be a party next month?
As for the shopping, we're in it for the long-haul and have got to keep living. I do enjoy a good shuffle! Unfortunately each payment to the mortgage only knocks £450-£500 a month off so we just miss the target, but should reach under £160k by March! :j
My treadmill didn't arrive yesterday because of the snow, customer services will be arranging a new delivery date and I was cheeky, but polite, enough to ask for my delivery charge back so a saving of £9.. :rotfl:guess where it's going!
So to get started on the exercise routine, without said treadmill, we walked a 4 mile round trip to the supermarket this afternoon (we're also currently carless). We only got the essentials - milk, whiskey and pakoras:drool:
OH's car is stuck at work as he had to walk home on Friday and my car failed it's MOT, so it's stuck at the garage. to fix will cost around £160, which I've already got most [STRIKE]stashed away[/STRIKE] budgeted for.
Anyway it's very late, but I've been using my Netf1ix free trial to catch up on some girlie rom-coms so now I'll be off to bed to rest my weary legs!
Good night all, sleep tight xxMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Well a lazy day today as it's been chucking it down with snow.. :snow_grin
We've used the time wisely - we've decluttered the Sky planner of the rubbishy films recorded over the last few weeks and also completed a meal plan for the week ahead. Everything will be coming from the store cupboards/freezer so hopefully a no/low spend on groceries this week.
Tonight's meal is a lemony tray bake with pork, 2 wk old squash, sprouty potatoes, dried up peppers and mushrooms. nom nom! :rotfl:
I've also opened the fridge salad drawer and come across 2 bags full of carrots.. I may have to search for some recipes to use these up that don't involve cake! If not i'll just chop them and stick them in the freezer to use in casseroles at some point.
I'm quite excited (saddo) as tomorrow will be my first ever 'working from home' day due to us being carless at the moment, saving on petrol and saving any potential accidents from happening in the icy snow.. and also means I can have a lie in till 8am :j:j usual get up is 6!
Hope everyone that has to go travelling to work is safe xxMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Incase anyone wasn't aware, Ha1ifax have now changed their terms for the Rew*rd accounts, you now have to have two dd's coming out of the account but you can transfer in less money.. I heard something on the grapevine a while ago but I've had the official letter this morning.
So I've now moved two of my smaller dd's to come out of my Ha1ifax account and hopefully this should appease them and still mean I get my £5..
Also did a quick tidy up on my other current account and moved £3.64 into savings.
Nothing else to do money wise until OH gets paid at the end of the month!Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

Carrot & onion soup - I'll bung you a few in the post.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I will be doing all the above except for the coriander bit _pale_ thanks though... I've never had carrot in a sandwich but i'm thinking a bit of cheese, onion and grated carrot could be nice!Carrot & onion soup - I'll bung you a few in the post.
I did think of your onion situation when I found them! :rotfl:
So far I've cut one up for snacks, roasted some for vegetable crisps and will be having a carrot and beetroot salad with tea tomorrow night.

Afternoon everyone x
Myself and OH seem to be coming down with the lurgy so it'll be a quiet day on the sofa for me watching Teenwolf, drinking berocca and eating a couple of homemade scones.. I've heard that's a cure :rotfl:so fingers crossed!
My haircut turned out to be £39 on Friday  I think that's because I don't go a lot so she has to cut off about 3-4 inches to make it look presentable. I've booked in again for 3 months time, my goal this year is to keep my hair looking a bit tidier and not look like a tramp most of the time which means going to the hairdresser more than once a year.
Off to find some medicine for my poorly head xxxMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0
