I like your fat club motivation - money. Plus eating less food = less money spent.

Well hopefully:o.. i can't believe i've spent another year trying to lose weight and just ended up back where I was at the start of the year!

My OH and sister have seemed to turned their weight issues round this year so now it's my turn! OH has managed to lose 2.5 stone(6 stone in total since he started a few years back), he goes up the gym most days and we monitored his blood pressure/heart rate the other day to compare it to mine and his resting heart rate is 46!! Mine in comparison is between 65-75 bpm.

I think this has given me enough of a kick to try and get myself in better shape and set myself some goals for 2013. I shall endeavour to win the monthly Biggest Loser prize as much as possible and each time i do i will put it into my overpayment pot.

    Afternoon,

Surprisingly i've lost 2lbs this week, it must be all the rushing around. Xmas shopping is now finished, wrapping is mostly done, just finished the last batch of chilli jam and i'm off to deliver the newly decorated Xmas cakes and chutneys to the family this afternoon!!

I'll be glad of the rest after this week, only 4 days of work until close down for Xmas, then not back till the new year :j

    MSE activity this week
    • used my £30 gift card for S*insburys (note don't take OH shopping - it still cost us £52 with the discounts:eek:)
    • used £6 off £60 shop at S*insburys
    • received a £10 Ne*t voucher from C0nsumerpulse
    • completed all surveys (£39.90 on Onepoll!)
    • Collected my new glasses - paid for by work
    • 93p won on lottery
Payday next week, i'll be able to do a full year round up and set some goals for next year. I notice some of you are already goal planning in your diaries :D fantastic!

Well done you on your 2 lbs lighter-ness!

Next year's goal planning is mostly at the pencil / scribbly stage in my notebook at the moment... a train ride between Christmas and New Year will bring some finalisation to it!!!

Phew.. that's the xmas food shop done and dusted!! I went early to Waitr0se to avoid the crowds (can't have a delivery at the moment as we have road works up and down the road and blocking our driveway access )

Spent £100.07 and had a £10 off £100 shop.. just scraped that! So all came to £90.07, not that bad considering my trolley was full to the brim. It should last a few weeks hopefully..

I've inventoried (is that a word? :D) the freezer as it's been stuffed so that I know what's on which shelf and in which door compartment! Forward thinking!

Hope everyone doesn't get too caught up in the madness of the supermarkets, it's a jungle out there xx good luck!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful few festive days xx

Being stuck in the house with the miserable weather and a stinking cold seems to make today the perfect day to set some goals for the New Year..

So here is some of the goals that I will be trying to achieve in 2013..

    Financial :
    • Clear the rest of the family loan (approx £10k)
    • Meet my MFIT target of £15k for the 1st year (£10k family loan, £5k offset to mortgage)
    • Cut down on grocery spends again!
    • trf any voucher savings or cashback amount to offset mortgage
    • Open a new ISA and new regular savers to stash my offset money

    Health wise :
    • Lose 42lbs
    • Do more exercise (bought a Fitb1t with my xmas money and vouchers to help keep track)
    • Cut down on takeaways/processed food
    • Cut down/cut out the diet coke

Let's see how many of these I can stick too :D

Just wanted to pop on and wish everyone a _party_Happy New Year_party_.. It's a quiet one for us, we'll be making ourselves an indian fakeaway and chilling in front of the tv!

I have been having a bit of a play around with my 2013 spreadsheets this afternoon (sad or organised?:D) and checked all my survey/cashback sites. All in all i've managed to find £32.89 payouts to stash in my savings accounts from TCB, Qu1dco and a voucher from Sainsburys.

For 2013, all coupons/vouchers/cashback/overtime and interest earned will be going into my savings account to pay off the family loan and i'll be noting it on my new spreadsheet :j

I hope 2013 brings lot of happiness to you all xxx

Declutter day today for a fresh start in 2013..

    Decluttered so far :
    • Pringles
    • crackers and cheese
    • some of the chocolates but there are far too many for one day!

      and for later :
    • sprouty potatoes
    • english muffins
    • burgers from the freezer
Can you see the pattern :rotfl:

OH has also "decluttered" the Xmas decorations - bah humbug - whilst i was out dropping my sister at the train station, i've come home to a bare house, it all looks so boring now.:(

Today's other job is fixing the fence, one of the panels has gone rotten and come down in the bad weather over the holidays so we need to go and fix that whilst the sun is shining, luckily we've found some spare panels stashed up against the house that the previous owners left so spend should be £0 :j

    Have a good day x
