Scotty, I cant believe those responses you got
. Some people are just vile.
I was thinking though...maybe you could share what you write to people when you message them. There are things which are written very innocently with the intent of sounding sweet/interested but actually come across quite creepy. I am not at all trying to say you are a creep but sometimes we pick things up differently across a computer screen.
Hope I havent offended you, I dont mean to at all but as I say, written down it may read otherwise.Debt £5000:eek:

well first things first, I always ready some ones profile in full, I never message with out reading it first.
I ask a question about there hobby/ies, ask if they'd like to talk, get to know each other.
I don't go in all you look lovely, your really nice cause lets be fair, you don't know that with out talking to them for a while.
I normally ask questions about stuff they have written to try and start a conversation, so for example some one is into say motorbikes, I ask them if they have a bike or why they enjoy it.
I never copy and paste a message, I always write it individually at that person.
I try to not use the boring normal Hi how are subject line header.
My reasoning behind this is if someone takes the time to write about it, then they must be interested in it and it would be the most comfortable thing for someone to talk about a subject they are interested in, almost there comfort zone so to speak.
No offense taken at all with your question- I'm open to questions and PM's about any of this and any help or advice people can give me is useful, its got to start working at some point after all.
I'm number 5,678,921,124 in this world of six billion plus people, some were there must be one for me.
Even in the uk I'm something like the 58,000,000 ish so there might be one in 60 million some were0 -

I've just split up with a guy I met on POF. We were together 7 months and things were going great until I blew it! So what to do now? Back to POF? Maybe, I don't know, I had a quick look and spotted some of the same faces from last year, can I be bothered again??0

mondello, if its so fresh, maybe just take some time to gather yourself, are you sure its over?
POF always seems to have the same old faces. I'd suggest just taking sometime for your self first0 -

I agree there are a lot of the same faces, I'm probably one that men look at and think oh her again!
But I just want POF to be one of the avenues open to me, it's an option that's all.
as for distance, I cant date far, got 2 young teens and whilst they are good I cant go far or leave them for too long. It's the internet I'm allowed the make the boundaries, may take me the long way round :cool:0 -
Scotty I'm shocked at those replies! I've never seen anything so rude!
I'd be inclined to reply....
"Dear xxx
Thank you for your message. I appear to have accidentally made the mistake of thinking you might be a nice person. Thank you for pointing out to me so quickly that you are one of the vilest and most unpleasant people I've ever had the misfortune to contact, and that you are in fact a complete b**ch. The fact that you made the effort to send such a nasty reply when most normal people would have just ignored my contact makes me suspect I've had a lucky escape! I feel sorry for anyone you have a relationship with.
Yours,
xx"
Send it, and then block them straight away so they can't come back at you!!!!0 -

maybe it is too soon to get back on there. you could just unhide your account and do a bit of searching without being available.
sorry to hear you screwed up, usually my hormonal call

To be fair TGT, and maybe this is my failing, I don't reply to the nasty messages, only because I see it like some one taunting you- I don't give them the satisfaction of a response, I just read, ignore, delete.
Good idea though
Anyone doing much for new years?0 -

This looked a bit of a laugh as it's free on kindle. You can get kindle for PC as well.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
