what are the best value dating sites?

Ok so I am going to take the plunge and join a dating site, but which one? There are so many, but all seem to be quite expensive.

I don't want to join one thats free for women and not men as I think I would be way outnumbered and then not stand a chance.

I hate cancelling, I've been on a few dates over the last year and never cancelled even if something came up for fear that they'd think I was chickening out! I had to cancel one recently though as I was ill and I felt so bad



I personally wouldn't completely cut off ties, but only reply if they contact you (don't instigate a conversation) and don't be eager in your replies.

Do you still want to just be friends? If so, you could make it very clear to her (I'd much more appreciate that and actually gain a friend in the long term)

Unfortunately we aren't going to go out on another date.

Well just an update on mine.

Even though we aren't ever going to be together, we are really good friends now. We talk most days and she was there for me during a massive crisis at work last week and dropped her role to come over to make sure I was ok bless her. So I'm really happy I believe I've made a friend for life from one of these websites! We're even at the stage where we can joke about Valentine's cards being left on my desk, it's really nice to have someone to confide in about anything, even if it isn't romantically related.

Well, I plucked up the courage to join a dating site. Wasn't really meeting anyone in "everyday life". I work with older people (40+) who are married.

I didn't really click with anyone until 2 months ago. We got on really well, we liked the look of each other and we only really logged on to speak to each other (he would only log on after me or if he did log on, he seemed to reply to my message straight away). He has gone days without talking to me as he's got quite a good job and gets busy with work.

Anyway about 2 weeks ago, he told me that thinks we should take it to the next level and exchange numbers. I proceeded into asking for his number and then he asked for mine. He said he would ring or call me and then asked me how my day has been. I replied but he logged off and I haven't heard from him since! He hasn't rang or text me and hasn't been online on the website since.

I don't get it. Grrr! I hate men

I fear there are people on these sites that enjoy everything up to the meeting point, then bottle it.
Or maybe he is married/spoken for and bottled it!!
I have had it too!
I was with POF, just met weirdos, time-wasters, married men etc etc

I have now joined Datingagency.com... seems a lot better!
