Was this the first time you met her?

Did she text or ring you to say she was going to be late? I waited half an hour for one date but because he had my mobile number, I figured that during that time he could have called me to say he was running late so I didn't wait any longer.

Didn't ever hear from him again to this day. And he was the one pushing to meet me, so don't know what that was all about.

She did let me know she would be late, after the time we had agreed, as I was thinking maybe I had been stood up.

Scotty Scotty Scotty, listen...........take a tip from an old hand.

This is what I would have done if someone had kept me waiting one and a half hours. (not that I would have waited that long anyway, but never mind)

I would have let her flirt away with the waiter, that wouldnt have bothered me, but the thing that would have bothered me the most is that she kept me waiting.

Not sure if you took her out for a meal or what but I would have ordered the most expensive thing on the menu, then about halfway through I would have told her I was popping to the loo. I would then use that as an excuse to make a quick exit and leave her to pick up the bill.:)

Let me know if you need any more tips.;)

I did take her out for dinner, though it was some were I go with work often, As above I spoke to her a few messages and she seemed great, but in person really seemed to change - she can't say she didn't see me we chatted over skype and spoke alot.

Oh Scotty, that is rubbish. What a horrible way to treat anyone. I don't think shes a keeper :D

I hope you didn't end up being seriously out of pocket either. Listen to the Oracle , although I can't help thinking you'd be too much of a gentleman to pull this stunt, however much she deserved it

    Most certainly not a keeper.

Though I have to say maybe I need a new approach, I'd liek to find agirl who likes Indy rock music, Cars, Motorsport, Talking about random things and theroys from Mythbusters etc, Likes watching movies, can out race me on PS3, likes reading a book together cuddled up, going for long slow walks along the coast, tinkering with cars, rc cars etc, swimming, going to gigs.

Seems hard to find someone who likes that:rotfl:

    That sounds like me :rotfl:

I've been on and off using POF and Smooch for a while, I do find it difficult to take seriously these days though having come across some very strange people. Debating using a paid site but going by some people's experiences on here I don't know if I'd be any better off.

Just for the record, Oasis is crap.

Has anyone noticed that some sites publish the salary of people on their profiles? I can't quite believe people make this public.

I quite like oasis! I like the fact that people have to send a request/accept a request before you can send messages – this way, I can say thanks but no thanks without receiving messages back telling me Im too picky/that im being a pr!ck-tease/I’m a b!tch etc (and these men wonder why they are single!!)

I've been talking to a girl on PoF a couple of weeks now, we've finally arranged for a coffee. Just come off the site to confirm exactly where and when and she says "i'll not be on my own, my daughter (about16) is coming aaaahhh i'm nervous enough when it was just her. Has anyone else had that. I'd been thinking of what to do and thought of what i think is funny but her daughter will think i'm an idiot so that's out.

    No it's not just you!

Another story... I've seen someone's profile and they will only meet up with someone if they go on a "Double Date"!! How AWKWARD!

I thought perhaps did she think i was going to try and rip her clothes off so she needed a guard'
But i never saw them, i got stood up. Well phoned less than an hour before our meet to say her Mum had been taken into hospital and she needed to go there. She was in hospital earlier in the week but they let her out. Disappointed but i suppose your Mum needs to go first ahead of a strange fella off the Internet.
    So it's wait and see.
