Moneyclaim Online (MCOL) question

sorry if this is repeating what every other person asks
just a bitwith what the crack is now im at this stage.
claim was issued on the 5th of April against LLoyds for £3200.00 - its says they have 14 days to reply - is this including weekends and bank holidays or is it "working" days?
also once the 14 days are up if ive heard nothing what do i do?or does the court get in touch with me?
sure Lloyds will put in a defence on day 14 - if thats the case am i right in thinking i will then get forms to fill in which i return then get given a court date?
hoping this is right - any help folks as always will be gratefully received0 -
Filled in the Court forms and it's coming up as Northampton County Court, which is nowhere near where I live. Can anyone throw any light on this? Is it likely to be moved?
Thanks.
Chances are it will not get as far as you having to go to court but if they do and a court date is to be set, you will get the chance to change it to your local court then - it is set as Northampton by default I think0 -
Hi Taffyfella
Thank you again, I rang this morning to the tel. no on the claim form and they say i have to wait till Tuesday 17/4(as you said - 14/4 is Saturday so then Monday is the day but to do it will be Tuesday 17/4 if they havent aknowledge/reply to the claim) This is my first I have others that maybe will be going that way (Barclaycard- Halifax and Halifax Card and First National)
Thanks0 -
hi all,
Im probley asking a question someone else has already but ive checked mcol this morning & our claim has been acknowleged with this message:
The defendant is allowed a total of 28 days from the date from when they are served with the claim to reply.
Is the 28 days from when i started the claim or is it 28 days from now. we only had 4 days left till judgement so i guess this is one of lloyds tactics.
Any info would be great cheers guys.0 -

They have initially 14 days in which to either defend or acknowledge. If they do either of there things, the length of time they have then goes from 14 to 28 days again from the date they were served the claim. If nothing happens and the 14 days expires, you can ask the court to enter judgement by default but you have to ask them, the court wont chase you. Its the same if the acknowledge. Its nothing to worry about, it just gives them more time to make you sweat. Again if you hear nothing by the 28th day, again you can ask for judgement by default.
In most cases during this time, you will hopefully get a cheque for the amount as most credittors dont want to be taken to court.
Hope this helps.Bank charge Victories 07:MBNA:£205.77.Natwest Credit Card:£250.A&L Bank:£549.68.First Direct:£1183.50.Natwest:£112.33+£200 compo.Marbles CC:£298.Providian CC:£181.Capitol One CC:£388.46.PPI requests:A&L credit card/First Direct loan: At Court stage.Marbles CC:£213.02 refunded.GE Money:£562.34 refunded.First Direct credit card:£747.83 refunded.0 -
MartialArtMan wrote: »I filled in my MCOL claim last night, it was really quite straight forward following the advice on here apart from 1 thing.
Post 6 on this thread showing what to insert in the particulars of the claim. It worked fine apart from when I hit that I want to claim interest it gave me another paragraph that I MUST insert. Obviously this took me over my wording limit and it took me some time to read further through the thread to discover that this additional paragraph is NOT required as the original one covers it.
May I request that a note be made in post 6 (or somewhere near the beginning) that the additional paragraph does not need to be added. This will simplify the process even further.
MartialArtMan did you manage to fill the particulars of your claim out ok?
If not let me know and I will advise.

Hi Jinx
I spoke to lady this morning at MCOL, who said that I could apply for judgement but she also said that they hadn't cleared all the post yet, so in between you clicking judgement and this morning, they could have found in the post, a defence from your bank. I'm waiting to see if they do the same with mine.
Hi
They prob will but looks like now we may not have to fill in AQ new system apparently read on another thread that staff at MCOL don't really understand it lets hope it means we get our money quicker!!! XXI am addicted to this site:j
going to court on 20/7:eek: Barclays! WON!!!!!!!!!
Mbna just received statements 2/6.0 -
Can someone please help - I'm only days away (I think!) of getting my money back as Lloyds TSB haven't recognised the claim yet. Only thing is, do I count the 14 days from the date the claim was issued as listed on the Money Claim site (which would be Monday) or do I have to add 5 days to that and then the 14 days? Its the bit where it says they have 14 days from the date that are served that is confusing me - is that the same as they date it was issued?!
If someone could let me know before Monday that would be great.
Thanks very much for your help - hopefully will have a good news story to tell soon!2018 amazing wins: Icehotel-Lapland holiday, 8 course tasting menu hotel stay, Vitamin D bundle, SkinCeuticals serum, £50 worth of Cranes Cider, £1000 to spend on eBay, iphone charging case : ]0 -
Hi Jinxs
Looked last night and under defence HSBC had entered a defence after I had clicked on judgment, but 2 days before they were actually served the papers!!! Which is great!! guna try this morning and find out how they can enter a defence magically when I've clicked on judgement?!!!!!!! Surely they are too late once I've clicked!!0
