Check with posts 6 and 11 in this thread for POC details.

LisaCc23 have a read of Beate's post in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature, for the timings of MCOL.

vinny, don't cancel your claim with the court until you actually have the money via cheque or in your account!

Paid said cheque into my account this morning, can i ring/email MCOL or does it have to be more official letter ?

I got the wording from those posts, but it mentions the interest twice, and you don't have a lot of space on the MCOL form. I've also moved the bit about the bank saying the charges are service fees to the "contention".
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

Hi all you friendly helpful people. Such a help having this thread to see what I am doing even though I have a law degree! I have tried to enter my MCOL but it won't let me go any further as it says I have put in some characters which it won't accept. Except I haven't. I have seen this problem alluded to in posts at the beginning but I can't see an answer. I can't get through by phone either. Can anyone help please?

Incidentally, I used the wording from Post 6. I think it needs amending as it was way too long and I noticed other people have had problems with it. Am not sure if I read it somewhere but the second paragraph is kind of surplus to requirements and makes it go over the limit. Could the mods amend it so that other people like me who read quite a way through the threads and keep being referred back to post 6 don't waste a load of time trying to get it to all fit in. It took me ages and then I flippin lost it as the site threw a wobbler.

Also its not just characters but spacings that will put you over your limit.

Hi all just joined up and was hoping i could get some help on a claim matter.ive sent off all my templates and received my replys and an offer which im going to refuse im now in the process of using MCOL to process my claim but after the last letter i received from HSBC im thinking i need to adjust the amount im going to claim. So the question is can i just enter the new amount on MCOL without notifying the bank first or do i need to send a new breakdown of charges to the bank first before i claim online.
Any help on this matter would be appreciated. Thanks:D

What i would do is post them a new list of charges you intend to claim for , also telling them that you are now claiming through the legal process via MCOL .Post it to them (via recorded delivery ) the same day as you fill in and submit your MCOL

Could anyone advise how they got round the MCOL problem with the characters. I have tried late last night and early this morning and it is still coming up with the same annoying message. I thought if I did it when there might not be many people on, it might go through but still no luck. I have e-mailed them but not heard and the phone line is engaged constantly so I don't know what to do.
