My claim against barclays was issued on the 25th april (according to the date in the claim menu). It is now the 10th. Should i start the judgement? Probably an obvious question... Cheers

5 days for the claim to be served, plus 14 days = 14th May according to my calculations. The website won't let you apply for judgement until you're eligible to do so.icon7.gif
    Wins since 2009 = £17,600

    MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS

Can anyone enlighten me as to why mcol is charging me £250 where as most cases it's only £120 tops?
  • on the mcol it says i have to enter an address in england for my claim against halifax card services ,i only have a scottish address in fife ,does anyone know a english address for halifax card services or am i doomed to fail with this one
  • Hi

sorry if this is a stupid question -

my claim on MCOL was acknowledged 23/04/07 but there is no mention of a defence. Should I do something now as they havent been in touch?

    thanks

How much is your claim for? You can check on the HMCS website - there's a form there which tells you how much the charges will be.

To work out the daily interest, multiply the amount of your claim (charges only, not including interest) by 0.00022.

  • so if they have until tomorrow, they actually have until close of business Monday (from reading previous posts)?

I think I've misunderstood - if this is the bank acknowledging the claim, them they have 14 days from then to issue any defence - and we are past this. If so, you should now be able - via the MCOL website - to request a judgement by default.
