you will receive a letter from MCOL and that will tell you how long they have got to aknowlege or defend

  • What did they say, are they going to refund you ? Will it actually go to court do you think ?

think you just sit tight until you get relevant paperwork through. means they have a further 14 days from date of claim to either pay up or defend.

I was speakin to moneyclaim this morning (my claim was issued on 5th so they have until 24th) and she said if they acknowledge or put in a defence you then get paperwork through from then (as id been worried as i hadnt heard a dicky bird dince filing claim)

if nobody posts a reply to you just look around various threads on here - this exact same thing will have happened to a million other folk so try not to fret too much

so looks like i've got a long wait
  • Can anyone help, I have put in a claim for £1157 from the Nationwide with moneyclaim, just checked it and it has been suspended. Has this happened to anyone else and can I do anything about it? .
  • Hi

We've got as far as sending the first 2 letters to our respective banks with no joy from either (Abbey and NatWest). Last night we lodged 2 claims on the moneyclaim website. I have checked them today and they both have the word "start" under the judgement column. When we click on "start" it gives us 2 options. Do we need to choose one of these options now or do we wait until the 14 days have passed and we've had no response from the banks ?

    Regards

You are way too early for any judgement business! You have to wait 5 days for the claim to be deemed served, then another 14 days before you can click any buttons. And you can only click them if the bank doesn't decided to acknowledge, because that buys them another 14 days on top. And if they decide to defend you can't do anything online anymore but have to wait for forms to fill in.
    Reclaimed thanks to this site:

I'd give them a ring and ask them what's going on.
    Wins since 2009 = £17,600

    MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS
