£120 warm home discount

BBC News website is running a piece on £120 energy discounts, being registered disabled and on a low income I'm wondering if I qualify for this, if so how do I go about applying? Looking at it, it seems you have to be quick of the mark as some energy suppliers are limiting the number of discounts given.

According to the BBC it's only the big 6 who are doing it, as they've been ordered to by the government. They also said that apart from pensioners, once the money's gone, that's it.

I spoke with British Gas this morning. They gave me a number to call on Monday, to go through the application. British Gas are the only provider that have not capped the amount of customers they help(if they qualify)

The girl I spoke to said there was a waiting time of over an hour this morning due to this announcement.

I am on the phone to EDF at the moment....current waiting time 45 mins and counting! I also hope to get advice as to how to claim & will post here as soon as I know.Wilkies50

Seems you have to be in receipt of 2 benefits and says nothing about pensioners.
My OH and I are both pensioners, he claims DLA, apparently it isnt enough.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
