I've received a 4/5 feedback, would it be rude if I contacted the buyer to ask why?
Also, any suggestion on what to do with old books (1920ish)

it looks to me like one of those 'couldn't resist licking something frozen and getting my tongue stuck' scenarios but I may well be wrong?0 -

Unfortunately lots of buyers seem very pleased with 'excellent service, speedy postage, good communication etc' but still leave 4/5. Just one of those things with Amazon - presumably some folk think it'll spoil us if we get top marks????It is annoying though.

I got a 4/5 a few weeks back. Buyer said something along the lines of not new as expected but still a very good book. I sold that one as merely 'good' but like a lot of buyers they seem to ignore any descriptions and assume it is new.

I also saw some feedback recently that had 3 lines of complaints but they had given a 4 out of 5

I had an email today for a book I sold on 28th Jan and posted on 29 Jan, which just said "Hi, I am sorry but I would like to cancel this order."
I am assuming they have received the book, so wonder if they are just being cheeky. Anyway, I've replied saying the book will have to be returned before I can issue a refund. Since there was no reason given as to why they want to cancel, I assume I wouldn't be expected to pay for the return postage?0
