Hi boston - yes, mine too - it's a bit scary to see an empty page  a glitch I'm sure0

I know of the Canterbury one, it's just down the road from where I live. Most of their stuff is antiques and good stuff. I'm after the tat. I shall look into the others.
This is where you take advantage of their snob element......the auction house has most probably done several house clearences, where an old dear is moving into a rest home/similar.....this 'old dear has a superb ceramic collection and the auction house want to sell it-in order to sweeten their client, they will take some of her not so great stuff to please her(hope you are getting the picture).
This not so great stuff may comprise of boxes of books-boxes the dealers are not interested in-they want the top items. So when the auctioneer offers the box of books at a starting bid of £20.00-nobody will bid (they are too embarressed to bid on 'tat')....but remember this is most probably books that have not been sorted through/cherry picked.Trust me,go to the better auctions and when nobody bids on certain lots, take it from under their turned up noses and laugh at them!
Kind regards Bukup0 -

bukup wrote:hello again.....this is a common misconception alot of potential buyers have.....fine arts/antiques auctions means fine prices.Well almost yes ? What I mean is when you go to the better auction houses, you will almost certainly see 60-70% of the bidders are dealers or buyers sent on behalf of clients. There is 'definetly' a snob eliment within these circles.

I think I'll nip round there and take a look. It's so near me I could wheel my purchases home in a wheelbarrow.
Thanks again - much appreciated.AMAZON MEMBERS CLUB - NUMBER 650 -

Nothing works for me. I got a glimpse of some sales, but when I tried to get 'in' to print off packing notes they disappeared. At the momet I'm showing no sales at all in the past month and I haven't got my SDN's either.
I suppose all I can do is wait for Amazon to put some more money in the meter and turn the site back on again, and then apologise to my buyers for not despatching today. I'll keep trying as I'm not actually leaving for the post office for about an hour.

I haven't had the SDN mails, I did get the 'sale of your item has ended' pro seller notification but that has no details except for the name of the book sold.

bukup wrote:do you not receive a second email saying you can now send the item?
Since going pro earlier this month I now get 2 emails. One that starts:
Dear xxx
Greetings from Amazon.co.uk.
Your listing of xxxx
is now complete and you've received notifications about purchases at
the time they were made. Thank you for listing with us.
Then it has some links to my Amazon listing and ends with :
Your Amazon.co.uk Marketplace/zShop listing(s) did not get relisted.

Thanks for visiting Amazon.co.uk

However it doesn't show buyer details, only price at which book sold.
As well as that I usually still get the standard SDN email at the same time which does show the buyers details. However I have 2 sold books an dno SDNs.
EDIT: OK, 1 SDN has just come through, about 80 minutes after my other email, 1 more still to come.
