Sadly, under 18's are not allowed to sell on Amazon.

    The link is http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=3149131

    And it says:

How much stuff do you guys have on amazon, and do you get regular sales or can you go for a long time without selling anything? Nothing for me yet but I only have a few books on and they have only been on for a few days. My account shows "just launched" will this make much difference to my sales do you think?

    Thans everyone.

hi foxybabe, all the sellers with lots of books (several hundred) will expect sales everyday, everyone else can go days and days without sales, you have to just hold your nerve and wait. Don't worry about the just launched thing, this will stay till you get your first feedback and this might take ages too as not many buyers go back to submit feedback, it just isn't as important as it is on ebay.
So long as your description is good and gives the impression that you know what you're doing then you'll get a sale soon

For some odd reason I got it in my head that I needed to have 800 books listed to sell enough to cover the pro merchant fee every month when it goe to full price. I have no scientific basis for my figures, it just stuck in my mind. I am currently hovering at around the 790 mark and have sold 37 books since 9th january, which has really surprised me...I really cannot account for my sales suddenly having taken off like this.

Previously I had about 500 books listed and seemed to be in a pattern of two or three sales, then nothing for 7-10 days, then another 2-3 sales and so forth.

I have virtually no 1p books except a few Mills and boon that go occasionally, I do have other books at 25p-99p and get quite a few sales from them, then I have mid range books at about the £10-£30 from which I get very ocassional sales (I today!) and a few books over £50 that I'm prepared to sit on for a while till they sell.

    Soo

That sounds right Foxybabe. It's also good practise to send an email to the buyer to let them know the book is on its way.
