edit - I've just seen another odd thing, I searched a book in order to list mine, there was just one other copy listed - at 1p! how daft is that? if there is no other competition why sell so low?

I've seen some seller feedback to buyer complaints lately that made me laugh. One was a seller listing what s/he had done to please the buyer and she adds something like; other than offer my son as a human sacrifice what more could I have done :rotfl:

Another one said they'd gone travelling and that was why the book took ages to arrive but it was cheap so the buyer shouldn't have complained????? Obviously never heard of vacation settings.

Another one in Scotland was well narky and said 'you try managing a stock of xxx thousand books' :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Methinks some folk are not big on customer relations but they are quite funny.
    Happy selling everyone, Teapot

just though i would come on and have a moan :(

do buyers read the descriptions ?

just had this email :a bit disappointed that the front cover had been written in , probably wouldn't have purchased if i had known

my desciption :INSCRIPTION ON INSIDE FRONT COVER

this is the second time this week that somebody has , complained about something that i have clearly stated , i do mention any fault marks ect , what else can i do ?

i have replied to both of them , saying if they are not happy , return the book and i will refund , so will have to wait and see what they reply

Just checking that the book was sold under the category of 'Acceptable' as ,regardless of the book's condition otherwise, that is the only category where any writing on the book is allowed.

I've had books that have been 'like new' apart from somebody stupidly writing their name on the inside cover! I've had to list them as 'Acceptable' because of it.
  • i have only listed a few books on amazon... as i only started selling there a few weeks ago....and fair do's i have sold about 6 books now......

so will prop start listing more now......the book i sold today..... i revised the price and put it slightly cheaper than the others.. and hay presto..... it sold......its a book i bought on ebay..... called killer tea cosies.

for only a £ 1 or 2 and sold it on amazon so after amazons expenses and postage will have about £7 profit not bad....

Perhaps you should add that into the comments bit when you list it?

well I have listed about 10 books and 5 cds. Finger crossed for some sales. I'm a bit apprehensive as i've never sold on amazon before.

I always write a very detailed account of any damage when listing books. My point was that any books with writing on needed to be listed as 'Acceptable' and that affects the price that you can expect to sell them at.

Luckily, I haven't had any complaints about the condition of any of my books as yet. The two neutral feedbacks that I have received have been from numpties buying CDs!

    2 sales today-at last !
It is worth remembering that lots of people are still 'skint' after xmas and new year......maybe they are waiting for the end of the month pay packets?

Quite a few years ago I had a market stall.....between stall holders this time of year is known as 'the Kipper'.....because sales are so flat...!

Do not think you are doing anything wrong if your sales are quiet,it really is an economic pattern.Wait till Easter and I'm sure we'll all be saying "I told you so".

Have a good weekend, kind regards Bukup.
