  • Hey everyone,

It's a quiet day here - just plodding along at work as normal. There's not much O/S going on in my life just now, but hopefully I'll get back on track soon - my head is a bit off over the place at the moment and I find reading about your lives so inspiring but very overwhelming! I know, I know - baby steps!

Still feeling totally cr*ppy with this pregnancy, just hope I'm going to feel better soon.

    I won't be on tomorrow as I've my Granny's funeral. I'm doing a reading.

kyle and twink - did you watch Relocation, Relocation, Relocation last night in your area? I watched it on mute (was on the phone) but I thought the houses were just beautiful! I know your part of the world well and love it.

Bargain - don't beat yourself up about the lunch/food thing. You do so well with saving money and living within a budget so the odd lunch or tea out is no bad thing!

jellycat - ((((HUGS)))) to you and your OH. I agree about him being possibly more angry and petty with you than normal due to not being in pain or feeling cr*ppy.

    Lots of love to everyone

    Valentine xxx

    Morning to everyone!

Theres alot of things I want to get started on this year - but for some reason my head just feels clogged and all over the place and I cant seem to get organised at all! (wish I was more like you bargainrzl - you seem so on top of things i,e sorting out your mortgage, your bank account etc)

and others of you seem to have your days planned, meals planned (ive never done one! just sort of think about it as I go along) kids planned with activities etc (suppose mine are two young to be doing stuff yet?), ebaying stuff, making stuff! (think im having a melt down:o )

OK - am gonna go off now and try and do a TO-DO list of all the things I would like to do or achieve!!! think it will be a big list - so I might be sometime! :rotfl:

Sorry for the boring post today - i think i need to get out more!:D

  • Then I read through this thread so fast that I thought JackieO had said she was an "amateur gynaecologist"   :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'll let you into a little secret. I very rarely do a proper meal plan. I buy up decent yellow-stickered meat whenever I find a good bargain and organise most of my meals around that, then I plan what I'm going to do with the leftovers.

As for organisation, while I am normally very organised with my personal admin and finances, I am hopelessly DISorganised when it comes to work-related admin and, um, housework :o:D

Thanks everybody for making me realise that my  moment is not the end of the world. In fact I will take the opportunity to treat myself at my favourite lunch takeaway place (where the food is soooooo fresh and yummy but expensive - normally £5-£6 for a curry with veg and rice, or noodles, or lentils, or whatever) as I have a loyalty card which I can get stamped and will eventually give me a free meal. As long as I don't get through a whole loyalty card (12 stamps) more often than once every 3 months I think I'm doing OK :D

Anyway, I am still underspending nicely this month. It is soooo nice only going out one evening a week - I wish I could maintain this all year round without missing out on all the things I want to do! The savings are being put aside for (1) a couple of days in Paris with two girlfriends later in the Spring, to go and see one of our favourite operas and ogle hopelessly at a very attractive opera singer, and (2) taking my mum out to a fairly expensive restaurant which I know she will love, as a birthday treat - I think she may be coming to visit me for her birthday weekend and I know she doesn't really have a lot of spare cash.

LOL, I was only thinking the same thing myself yesterday. As DH has been off work all week I have not even taken DD to school which means I haven't left the house or spoken to anyone other than DH or the kids all week!

I have a £10 Boots voucher and £20 rescued from a christmas card (that DH doesn't know about) and was wondering if I should buy something useful (like DH's shampoo and food) or treat myself to something silly and totally unneeded.

P.s. Chardonnay those photo's are wonderful, I'd rather have your snow than this horrible wind and rain :(
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

    hello all!

it's been a while; things have been a bit mad. Very blustery here!

Been to the gym first thing
    WM on (2nd lot)
just roasting some bones from the butcher to make some SC stock later
also got a casserole in there as well (well, while the oven is on...!);)
DD is asleep, so thought I'd pop on to say hello. Plans for the rest of the day: hmm...not sure yet. We won't be outside anyway!! Probably some ironing, and I may have a quick look at the flylady list for today.. we'll see :o;)

    hugs
