Finally got my curry today! Mum brought me in a sweet potato and butternut squash curry and some rice
Got out of bed this morning for the first time, I can't stand up!
Spent today sitting in a chair reading and working out how to get to the loo so that I can avoid the dreaded commode!
Doctors are coming to see me tomorrow morning, and lots of bloods gone away today so maybe get a nod either way of wether this heart is going to take or not.
Oh also saw my scar for the first time today, they've literally cut me in half!
Thanks everyone for the kind wishes.0 -
Jen - fingers crossed for you and hope you continue to improve. You've definitely won the MSE operation of the month prize !.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Wear your scar with pride - it is a part of you and the strong person that you are. It is also a reminder of the generous family who donated the heart.
I sincerely hope that your body doesn't reject your heart, and I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Your mum must have been so worried and under tremendous strain, and so relieved when you came around after your op - I know, because I'm a mum and my little fella had surgery just under two weeks ago. It was a minor operation, but it didn't stop me worrying. So I'm sending hugs to your mum as well.
Take care and don't try to do too much, too soon x0
