    Oh they did.
    :rotfl: I'll never forget, and may have mentioned it, reading FIL's Patient Information Booklet after he'd had his heart bypass. Having explained that the procedure involved slicing open the chest, cracking a few ribs, stripping out a few veins and reattaching them elsewhere, it said:

    "You may feel some discomfort afterwards."

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I do not normally swear, especially not in front of the In-Laws, but I said "NO, you will NOT feel some discomfort, that's going to bl**dy well HURT!"

    Oh and any tips on how to sleep sitting up would be well appreciated.
    Pillows behind your back and one either side to keep your arms from falling down. You look like you're being slowly eaten by a marshmallow monster, but it helps.
    :rotfl: I was going to recommend a cuddle pillow, for now and later. I know it's my arm / shoulder which was giving grief, but a cuddle pillow helps get it into the right place, and might help you too.

  • Having read a number of your threads I felt inspired to post something. I am absolutely elated for you and I wish you every happiness! As with many others on here, I don't know you, but I've had some ups and downs in my life lately, but this really put things into prespective.

    You've got everything to play for...

    I shouldn't be awake yet but I had a reaction to anaesthetic so I'm round and on painkillers but everyone else is out for the count lol.

    I'm not up for posting much just now but wanted to share my news, got my transplant on the 2nd and they said I'll be here for ages lol.

    I've got a v pillow but no duvet, only hospital blankets. Still only eating toast and scrambled egg, if any kind person wants to smuggle me in a curry it will be appreciated.

    Oh and the CVC repair was beyond painful.
