    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
Sent both my acceptance forms off on 9th October, got a message off RBS this afternoon to say my cheques have been posted out today.
Its amazing how these banks can't even do simple calculations correctly..............
  • WEll it will be exactly 40 working days - 8 weeks - tomorrow since they received my acceptance so that is the deadline that the FOS have set apparently so it will be a complaint to them if I havent received my cheque by then!!!
  • Here's an update..... After my boyfriend sending an email to Mr Hester on Wednesday last week and Sunday, he received a call on Tuesday to say that his cheque had been sent out next day delivery, needless to say no cheque the next day but it arrived yday when we were at work, went to collect it from the post office today and low and behold the bank will not accept it as the cheque isn't even signed!!!!! RBS are really playing serious games!!! A call to the customer relations team is underhand! Wat a complete joke!!!!

Update for me too....I've been sending the same email twice a day since Thursday and i've still heard nothing had a generic email saying someone will be in touch but no surprise there that I haven't grrrr!!!
    A lot of fellows nowadays have a B.A., M.D., or Ph.D. Unfortunately, they don't have a J.O.B."
  • WEll 40 working days today, 8 weeks, and nothing!!!

Last time I spoke to them I was told the cheque had been ordered on 20/10/11 and it takes around 10 days for it to arrive!!! And we should receive it early November!!! I received the offer on 25/8/11 and they received the acceptance on 2/9/11!!

    They are terrible!
  • Day 35 and the housemates are very restless.

Emailed Stephen Hester twice last week but it hasn't worked for me, still no cheque. Tried phoning but have never got through :(
  • Hello Everyone,
Just thought I would add a bit more stuff, I was waiting the 28 days which expired in the 24th Oct, but week previous to that, RBS sent me a letter saying there will be a further delay of up to 4 weeks . Of course i saw an envelope from them in the post and thought "Thats the £" - but it was not.

Also, exactly the same as previous posters - see mike on 11th Oct- when I phone the call centre in Manchester, phone rings for 7.5 mins then cut off this is def a system set to do this, which is just dishonest.
When you get to speak to them they deny the phone system, but more importantly give false information which always differs to previous calls. I have given up phoning now as it only makes me more mad.
Never mind whatever happens time will march on and they will run out of time.
    Good Luck Everyone

I wasn't expecting any cash from RBS till at least the 11th of November when the working days would be up but £6000 was paid in yesterday . Still waiting for a payment of £500 and the interest on all of the money to come . I got a letter last week saying they were 3/4 weeks late with payments !! Anne
