Was only due a few hundred quid but it arrived yesterday morning straight into my RBS account :) The interest was there separately when I checked this morning.

My offer letter was dated 20 September so it must be as close to the 28 working days as they could get. At least it's now sorted and good luck everyone with your claims!

I have had a good look through all of the posts here and, apart from a few who have been paid out, everyone else is struggling.

Even those paid out seem to have been short-changed.

Maybe, just maybe, the message that "reclaiming PPI your self is easy" is factually incorrect.

Maybe it should say "the process of reclaiming PPI yourself is easy, but getting the money out of the banks is very hard".

If I needed to do it again I would definitely pay someone a fixed fee of £100 just to take away all of the time-consuming hassle.

    Hi all....

Well I've been sending my emails every day and sometimes twice a day for nearly a week now. I had one generic reply last week saying someone would be in touch but I have heard nothing at all!!

I'm really annoyed now. How long did you guys on here have to wait for them to reply to you?

Do you think the fact that i'm emailing them everyday is annoying them and this is why they're not replying? If this is the case then i'll just do it even more to make a point and send one everytime I log onto my email account!!

How long did people on here find they waited from sending their first email to getting paid?

    Cheers

    Maz

  • Im still waiting on a claim that i submitted in june 2010, finally got an acceptance letter from the FOS about a month ago and a letter from RBS following this, but they are telling me im looking at 8 weeks and probably another 4 weeks on top of that so im looking at jan/feb for being paid out, not as fast as i had expected.
  • same situation as me. i put my claim in aug 2010. got the 8 week plus an extra 4 week wait.

  • We are on working day 33 now and still awaiting our cheque. Its a nightmare, like an endless piece of string!

I really dont understand either how some people are getting theirs in under the 28 working days and others arent? Surely they would want to pay the longest waiting ones first to avoid the interest?! Makes me think that they dont really have a system.

Also, does anyone know anymore about the 40 day FSA rule? I saw someone posted something previously but I dont know anything about it.

    thanks.
  • We have finally received payment from RBS/Nat West for all four of our PPI policies after waiting for over a year, total amount £9,500. This was following 2 or 3 recent emails to Stephen Hester complaining about how long we were having to wait so this definately seems to speed things up!!! It has taken 7 weeks from Nat West receving our acceptance letters. Thank god its all over and we can treat the kids to some extras this xmas and pay off some debts!! :) Thanks everyone.
