Hi all,
Long time reader of the forum some trully great information..
Long story short after reading this forum i decided to start the process of reclaiming the PPI I was misold in a loan I took out with Natwest in 2006. After filling in all the paperwork i had an offer in the post at the begining of October think it was about the 7th when I returned the paperwork signed with the four offers they had made me totaling just over £5000. After reading this post yesterday my heart sank a little after hearing the amount of time it takes Natwest/RBS to send out the money (Thought it might be nice to get before christmas).
I decided this morning to give them a ring and see where things where upto i know its still with in the 28 days but i thought it couldnt hurt. My heart sank even more after speaking to them apparently they have no record of me returning the signed paperwork..... and the only option I have now is for them to send the paperwork out again so I can sign it and return it. Seems like such a step backward... but still seems like alot of people in the same boat..

Hi - still no money from Nat West!
I received my offer on 27/8/11 sent off accepance and they confirmed they received it on 2/9/11 and told within 28 working days.
Nothing arrived.
Spoke to them a couple of weeks ago and told that cheque had been ordered on 20/10/11 and I would have it within 10 days or so - more or less early November she said!
Spoke to them again on Wednesday the lad on the phone said dont know why I was told cheque had been ordered on 20/10 as nothing on his systems and he couldnt tell me anything only to apologise that it was taking so long!!
Spoke to them again yesterday, girl couldnt understand why I had been waiting so long and was going to refer it to some other department where the cheques are issued but it wasnt possible to put me through to them as they are so busy!!
So totally lost count of how many days I am now since they received the acceptance letter!!! I am now counting in months - and its over 2!! or 9 weeks!!!0 -
Hi all I had a confirmation text from rbs on the 19th October for payout of up to 28 days followed by another up to 4 weeks the amount is £2600- to which I'm still waiting, I then on the 31st October had a text of rbs from another agreed payout and the usuall waiting upto another 4 weeks, the amount is £255 . I received the £255 in just 7 days!! Could they b paying out the small claims first ????0

Monkee, I see you say that they used £1600 towards your loan - were you in arrears with your loan at all? Or was this a "refund" of that months PPI payment and interest?
I only ask as I still have an ongoing loan with RBS that I have never missed a payment on and have successfully claimed PPI mis-selling on.
I was under the impression that if you're up to date with payments on the loan they have to refund the money directly to you and not use it to clear any loan balances?
BTW - congratulations on getting the money out of them - I'm still waiting for mine!0 -

Like you I got the confirmation text from RBS on the same day regarding my claim and that I would have to wait 28 days + potentially 4wks. I also have two claims - wonder which one will get paid out the quickest! lol0 -

It seems rbs must pay out when ever and to who ever they like . I got my £2600 today that's 15 workin days!!! Think people should get angry over this cos it clearly isn't fair!0
