The reason why I ask is, I emailed Stephen.Hester@rbs.co.uk yesterday morning (from hotmail acct) and heard nothing, not even an auto-reply simillar to others previously posted. Concerned that they may not like hotmail accts I sent / forwarded the email again to Stephen.Hester@rbs.co.uk and allso to ron.teerlink@rbs.co.uk last night.
So far Ive seen nothing appear in (natwest) acct nor had any for of reply to either email. Guess I'm at that frustrated point....
I am at work at the moment but as of this morning (9am) i hadnt received an acknowledgment to my email. I didnt get any automated one yesterday either.0 -

This is what my email said....
Dear Mr Hester
Please accept this email as a formal complaint from myself. I have been waiting 36 working days for my payment to be received and still, there is is nothing in my bank account.
I have rang your PPI team on numerous occasions....mainly without the phone even being answered.....and keep on being told the same thing, no payment has left yet. The people on the end of the phone cannot give me a date or tell me what the hold up is.
The claims colleagues have confirmed that they received my acceptence letter on the 5th of September and I work out that the 28th working day would of been the 13th of October and we are now on the 20th of October.
Can you please advise me of what the hold up is and give me a date that I will be receiving my payment. I have been a loyal customer with Natwest for over 12 years and I dont want to have to leave and bank with another company.
My PPI claim references is as follows:_____________________
I look forward to your swift response
Hope this helps...... x0 -

After second e-mail sent finally got a reply (strangely also in blue...):
Dear Mr
Thank you for your email which has been received by Stephen Hester's office.
I am sorry to hear of the delay you have experienced regarding your PPI settlement payment. Regrettably, settlements are taking a little longer than originally anticipated. I have forwarded your details to the PPI Team and I would like to thank you for your patience, in the meantime, whilst one of the team get in contact with you.
If in the interim you need to speak with a colleague in our PPI team you can call them on 0161 755 6890. There should be an agent available to speak with you between 8am-5pm.
Yours sincerely

a little more detailed a response than previously seen, but alas still no money received as yet....
Heres what I sent them:
Dear Sir,
I wanted to write to you to inform you of the appalling situation your company finds itself in and more specifically the way it has so far treated and communicated to me.
I should perhaps start with some personal details so you can investigate / resolve the situation:
--
I received you offer of refund at the end of august (after the extending full 16-weeks had passed) which I fully accepted and returned the requested acceptance slip, which you received on 5/9/11.
I then telephoned towards the end of the first week in September to check the acceptance had been received, to which I was informed that it had been (on 5/9/11) and “We have up to 28 working days to pay you, which is 13/10/11, so we won’t pay you till the day before that!” he then proceeded to hang up before I could ask any further questions.
Duly I waited until the 13/10/11 and received no payment or communication to suggest any delay would be experienced. Again I contacted the PPI team, and was told that there was a delay of “between 1-2 weeks” and that I “should just wait as they are working really hard but cant issue the payments quick enough” I enquired further and was told “ that the payments team can only process 400 payments per day, but were receiving almost 600 per day” and that “Look, it’s in our interest to pay you as soon as we can as we have to pay you 8% interest for each day it was late!” I tried to explain that while I appreciated the honesty I found the situation unacceptable and wanted to speak to someone else in a more senior position, to which he replied “look, my manager can call you back if you like, but he’ll tell you the same the same, so just...” at which point he cut off.
Being a little confused and also wishing to understand what he had meant about the interest they faced paying for lateness I managed to get back through (2 days later) to be told “it’s not 8% of the total, but of the interest owed as per my offer sheet” I asked what did she mean and, no surprise she was cut off! Now I know that i was using a mobile phone to communicate in 2 of the 3 occasion listed above, but I was not moving at all and no other phone call has been cut off to anyone at all, so I am reasonably certain that it wasn’t me!
What I expect from you, is at the very least an acknowledgement and apology for the way I’ve so far been treated and that my payment is made immediately (within 24hrs would be acceptable). Both of my expectations are reasonable as my research has already discovered that payments are currently being made out of turn and that at least 2 others have contacted you directly as I am and achieved the same results. I’ve been a customer for almost all of my adult working life and am wholly disgusted at this point and am seriously considering whether to remain with you along with whom next to communicate my experience and feelings to, namely my MP along with the media.
Feel free to use any excerts you wish :rotfl: but, i'm still none the richer as yet0 -
Hi all - got back from daughter's last night, thought there might have been a cheque waiting for me but no!! Nothing in post today either so I am now on day 36 and nothing.

Hi all
I emailed Stephen Hester on Wednesday night got a reply today. didn't look generic just saying they were sorry and passed on my email to the PPI team, I'm on day 30 today will let you know if i get ant money through, although i'm waiting on a cheque as I don't have an rbs account.0 -
Absolutely uncanny.
Day 46 since adjudicated on. Not a hint of a refund, came on here 3 days ago - checked bank at 2pm today - nothing.
Decided today about 14:30 to email the two names/addresses everybody was putting on here - 90% of content was posted on p6.
Checked at 6pm & £3,700 had been paid in a couple of hours earlier. Maybe it really does do the trick, seems too much of a coincidence otherwise.0 -
