prepare, Frugal, thanks for the encouragement to join in late, it really spurred me on.
23rdspiral, I slept in jarmies with a fleece jumper top and flanelette bottoms last night. I wore a thin cotton long sleeved top underneath as I don't like fleece nextb to my skin, it irritates. I slept really well despite sub zero temperatures in the house! DH was too warm!!
annie I can see a band of snow clouds coming towards us. We have DSs car in the village and DH has his 4wd prepped for the snow. he checked the oil, water, scrteenwash today so we are ready for more.
toots, I was hoping that was the excitement for the Winter, not a test run :eek:I am now encouraging DD to be better prepared as they are all electric in their house and struggled a bit the last couple of days: though they did have power last night.
Did I?! Glad to be of assistance!!

Its is raining steadily in Norfolk but when I took dogs to garden half an hour ago there was a tiny bit of slush on the garden step - thats it! Temp is 2 degrees and very little wind.
cant believe it will be Xmas this time next week - effectively anyway - so much to see to it'll never get done and DD (otherwise known as 'the unstoppable force of nature') is back tomorrow so have to sort out bedroom tonigh or early tomorrow. Washing will be a nighmare in thi weather and I wanted to do all the sitting room dog-stinky blankets and fleeces - oh I wish i hadnt broken my tumble dryer!debt free 2021 at current DMP rate[/COLOR] (probably be in an old peoples home by then)0 -

Well we have escaped the snow in Northampton so far, well nothing has settled anyway. It is dark and miserable outside and currently about 2 degrees, but the ground looks very wet so we may have had some sleet/snow that has not settled.
Think we'll escape the snow for now, but i'm quite glad as have lots to do this weekend, once Sunday morning has been and gone i will be well stocked in my store cupboard and just about ready for Christmas so if it does happen after that i won't be too worried!
Have a good day one and all, and those with snow don't forget the piccies! (Pleeeease!)0 -

it hasn't settled yet, and I don't expect it to, but it's nice to see it!

Snowing here in Sussex for the last 20 minutes but not settling as the ground is so wet from all the rain. I am home with ill kids and no desire to be snowed in at the moment! It's already stopped closer to Brighton so don't expect it will last.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
