    Its arrived!

I walked past the front door just before 6am and though to myself " its a bit bright outside" the door has glass panels in it and usually it just looks like the reflection of the hallway when its dark outside.

I peeked out of the window to see everything is white, looks like 2 to 3 inches so not a great deal but enough that it will probably cause mayhem *rolls eyes"

When i go out later i`ll have a better idea, not sure when the wind dropped during the night so we may have some drifts.
The first thing i did was to open the kitchen blinds to see out into the back garden and let the younger hound outside :D Her face was a picture and she just went barmy goofballing around in the garden

Thriftkitten - Hope that you managed to get some sleep last night and that all is well.

I had two put on my front driving wheels and my car feels like a little tank :D Hope that it still feels like that in the snow, might be able to actually stop in it this year unlike last year when the car would just keep going

Thanks for thinking of us, I put both DD's in my bed last night and made a bed up on the floor beside them..... Actually woke up without back ache for a change,Expensive mattress's are soooo over rated!!
The weather has calmed down a bit. no squally rain or hail/sleet but the wind is still a hoolie!!, it's actually predicted to go downhill again tonight and be a bruiser, the sea is verrrreee rough, I'm going to drop my 2 DD's at my mum's house while I do my Tea time shift(Community Carer) as they will be scared if the power goes out even though Im only out for 2 hours.
I'm vereeee jealous that you woke up to snow, lucky sod!!! We would love some of the fluffy white stuff please!
I only had 2 clients this morning, so plenty of time to make up a nice spag bol for the DD's before heading back at 4pm, stay warm and safe all, snow piccies would be delighful xxxxxxBeg Beg Beg!!;)

  • Last night was first night I actually slept and so was able to try out the wake up light from Lidl properly, I awoke at 7.50am, having set the alarm for 8am, but the gentle light coming on woke me smoothly and I felt much less tired than I usually do when alarm goes off. Also put on the sheet from them and although might not be the thickest, for me it was just right, comfortable and warm, any thicker and I would i think have been sweating and throwing covers off, but this one just kept me snug so am quite happy with my purchases.
Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

I've been following the weather forums and am quite on the edge of my seat regarding the weather tonight and tomorrow... Its amazing how much you can learn re forecasts by just having an interesting and immersing yourself in the subject!

Everybody is whipping up into a frenzy when snow is forecast and then the models change and there is much disappointment then it changes all over again :rotfl:

*note to self - must clean windows for better lamp post watching later* :D
