Cheers Mark - i will certainly have a look!
Thanks Lullabelle - Exactly, I will just get through the next few months and know i did everything correctly.
The chairman (original founder of the company) has decided to move back to london (from USA) and be more involved in the business which I think can only be a good thing. I've met him a few times and speak to him monthly on our board meetings but he came over and gave me a big hug said he completely understood my decision and that he commuted from Brighton for 7 years and that it took him a year to recover from the exhaustion! It was nice of him to say that and am glad he'll be around while I work my notice.
Trains couldn't have been worse yesterday. A fire broke out at Vauxhall around 3am. But did they tell us this when we boarded the 6:10? Nope! So all the trains terminated early and we were stuck with no further instructions. Luckily I managed to make my gym class only slightly late. The way home was also terrible. There was zero information on when trains might come through so everyone was stood on the platform with zero ideas! There was crowd control to manage everyone. In the end I had to get on a different train and a friend very. Kindly picked me up and drove me back to our station where my car was parked.
Not long now!
Very pleased it's Friday, I am on the train now and have boot camp booked and at lunch me and my team mate are meeting our ex-colleague who left in Feb so that will be nice.
M is back tonight too! Yay!!!!! So I'm going to try and leave early and pick him up once he's dismissed!
Looking forward to my ride tomorrow, it's supposed to be absolutely gorgeous! I have a horse called Arizona booked from 9-11am! Going by myself this time! Eek! At least I know the routes now!!!
Hope you all have a great weekend

Just realised I forgot to answer about taking annual leave to shorten notice period... I do have 4 days accrued but if I get them paid its between £500-£600 in the bank which I could really use right now so plan is to not taken them but if I am completely desperate then yeah they are there to fall back on!Santander 0% £1,529.94

Hey gang,
Well, I did it! I hacked out in the park all by myself! Was great fun and I was totally fine! My horse was great, we had some lovely long canters on the sand tracks through the trees and the weather was beautiful!
Week is going OK, have walked lots, gymmed lots (about to head out shortly for a lunchtime session), eating well, have lost another couple of pounds this week which is great.
Work is average, I'm getting on fine but they really are in a dire situation and I just hope I can get cash to manage until I leave!
New company rang yesterday and invited me out to dinner next week which is great, so I will get to meet some of the people I will be working with - better have some self control on the wine!
It's my birthday next week tooI think M is struggling to know what to get me, lol! Have given him a few ideas bless him!
I am off this Friday which is great, we are heading to Chester for a weekend with family, Mum and Dad have treated us all to a hotel stay! M "should" have the day off work too so I'm hoping we can head up early and use the spa and gym!
Only 50 commutes to go!

What a lovely treat for you - I hope you get to go early and relax.
Sorry work isn't what it should be, but the new job sounds lovely and welcoming. Can you squirrel some money away to ensure that you get all your pay at work if things are so difficult financially? It sounds to me like you have definitely got out at the right time.

Sounds a bad situation. When things go wrong they tend to collapse quickly. Also don't expect things to play out nicely. If current company went to pot (or maybe if it didnt) you have these options:
* Ask if new company will take you earlier. Can't see why they wouldn't.
* Take the time and do something that is time intensive you always wanted - fitness, decoration, gardening (although these are always easier with cash!), arts and crafts
* Build up your credit cards - its only 2 months and you KNOW you can get it back down again
None of these options (others are available) involve too much distress or being made homeless or foodless - even if you may really want to avoid building debt back up - if you are dealt a low blow at least you have options availableI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Well,it has taken me around 3 weeks on and off to read this whole diary. I was gripped from the start and may I say it is an easy read London Girl. You have come so far since you started and now I am desperate for you to keep us updated - especially as I am now in 'real' time. I have not posted in a very long while so look what you have achieved0

Hi Everyone,
I am so sorry I've gone so quiet, thanks for your messages and support
Iona_Penny - thank you so much for taking the time to read through to now and post I promise I won't disappear
There has been reasons I haven't posted and actually I wish I had kept up with posting online as I know you guys would have helped me through it.
I'm just feeling at the moment like everything is just a bit "too much" and it's getting me down. Not being able to work from home has really affected me and not having that 1 day a week where I get to skip the commute and catch up on house work etc while I work is killing me!
I had a total meltdown yesterday, I had asked to WFH so I could see the doctor (couldn't bl00dy get in though! Grr) and the day was fine but around 5pm when M was back my boss called and I mentioned I was feeling under the weather (I've woken up with a horrible cold this morning) and he made a really cutting remark that was probably intended to take the pi$$ but came across as a real dig. Anyway it was just the straw that broke the camels back and when we got off the phone I burst into tears. M didn't know what to do!
I'm feeling a bit better today just really run down and full of cold, need to try and pick myself back up and keep seeing the positives... I am now over a third of the way through my notice period and so just 2 more months to go... i can do this!
I am definitley going to take some days off and use up my holiday, I wanted to get them paid out so I could afford a new work wardrobe but I think right now it's more important that I look after myself.
Anyway, I had a lovely birthday last week and was nice and spoiled, M bought me a voucher to go and learn some stunt riding on horseback which is exciting!
I went out with my new company last week too which was good, they're a great bunch and I think (hope) I managed not to embarras myself!
Had a lovely ride at the weekend, a friend came down to join me for a hack in the park, it was a gorgeous morning, the horses behaved themselves (except for being terrified by a quad bike and nearly putting me on the floor! LOL) and then we went for a nice lunch after.
Hope you guys are all well, I will be posting daily if I can from now on just to keep myself positive if nothing else! It helps to write it all down.
