Yesterday i did week 2 day 1 of couch to 10km went back to bed, then we went for a long walk and treated ourselves to an ice cream! yummy!
One of the most un-spendy weekends for a while, it was perfect!

Heya gang,
Hope you're all having a good day. So far so good this week. Not much to report.
Did week 2 day 2 of couch to 10km yesterday and all was good. My foot hurt after but iced a lot and seems to be OK today.
The most enormous storm has just come over London, its fantastic to watch! Unfortunately I left my coat and brolly at home so I will be getting wet if it doesn't move on by home time!
They had 2 second interviews for my role yesterday so hoping to hear soon when my replacement will start.
Booked off another Friday in July yesterday so that's another commute to tick off the list as well as yesterday. I now have 1 days holiday left to take before I leave. I will wait to book it to see what plans I have etc or if i don't feel the need to take it then I'll get it paid out and it will help towards buying myself a new work wardrobe which is much needed!

Thanks Iona_Penny! Luckily we were, it hit again once I was home and we sat up and watched the lightening, it was fab!
Hope you're all well!
6 weeks today will be my last day in this job! Woop! Getting there!
The Ops Director apparently didn't like either of the people brought back for a second interview so they're now looking at bringing in a contractor which is good as they should be able to start a lot sooner!
Did badly SW wise yesterday, ate 55 syns (you're allowed 15) so I'm trying to have 2 syn free days the next 2 days to even it out!
Will do week 2 day 3 of couch to 10km tomorrow.
This weekend I am riding, got a jump lesson booked with my friend and then M's friends may be coming over to see the flat and show them around the area, will be difficult not to drink a lot that day unless I leave them to it to have a boys day!
I have Monday booked off too so looking forward to a long weekend!

Happy Friday everyone!
Hope you've all had a good week! Surprisingly mine was good, I have under 6 weeks to push and I have a look weekend coming up with Monday booked off!
Money is good this month, I have managed to reign in how many lunch/dinners in restaurants I say yes to which has helped and have brought my own lunch in every day too which has been free as leftovers!
Tonight I think we're just going to have a cheeky nandos, tomorrow I am riding in the morning with a friend and then in the afternoon/evening M's friends are coming over to watch the football... great.... i bl00dy hate football! Ah well, suppose I'll have to grin and bear it for the next few weeks!
Looking forward to having Monday off, I have booked in my 6 monthly hair cut and managed to get a 50% off deal for being a new client... score! and then i am going to look for a few new work clothes to smarten up my look!
Hope you all have a great weekend

Enjoy your weekend, I'm glad your week has been more positive.
I don't do football either - and I have banned it from any tv except the living room or DS1s bedroom, we'll see how long that lasts.

Hi guys!!
Hope you all had a good weekend!!!
I am exactly 1 month away from finishing this job! This morning I bought my last ever monthly season ticket to London, felt great!!!!
I have 21 commutes left according to my spreadsheet, this may actually reduce to 17... I have 1 days holiday left to book and the boss is making noises about letting me leave on the 15th rather than the 20th - but this would be unpaid so I need to do some calcs and decide if i am happy to lose 3 days of pay. Gut feeling is to do it as it will affect July payday which is Augusts money and I won't be spending too much in August so I think I can claw most of it back through my MSE ways! I feel a spreadsheet coming on!
Next week my replacement starts, I am looking forward to that, I am hoping the boss will be better behaved in front of her so will hopefully leave me alone a bit!
I did well last week SW wise and have dropped another couple of pounds which i'm really pleased about. We went to M's Mums yesterday for Sunday lunch which wasn't very SW friendly but was nice! And I think I got away with it as I ran and rode in the morning!
M got some good news this morning, he has been told to visit his Commanding Officer tomorrow to receive a promotion to the next rank up, really really chuffed for him as he is a couple of years overdue for the promotion but has been held back due to injury and because of that hasn't been able to complete the 1 course left to make him eligible and he'd actually been thinking about leaving the army because he feels so far behind his peer group (amongst other reasons) but now I think this will give him a little boost! He's almost fully fit now too (he had ACL surgery last year) so I'm hoping we'll be able to do the course and then make a more well rounded decision about his future in the army based on his career choices rather than feeling left behind.
So, last month in london! I'm making the effort to catch up with friends based out this way over the next month as I know the first couple of months in my new job will require a lot of focus and I won't plan so much socially which serves the extra bonus of spending less!
I have dug out on old textbook which is a well-rounded one about all the IFRS standards and I'm using my train times to brush up on all the technical stuff just in case any of that comes up in the new job!
So yeah, feeling quite motivated and positive right now. Work still isn't easy but I just remind myself I have less than a month to work and inside I do a smile in my head and let whatever it is brush over me!

The final countdown - that's brilliant, and the start of your successor will help you close the ties as she takes on the role. Remember that you are giving them the work, not mentoring them so it is an instruction and handover rather than teaching them. That will help you mentally detach too.
