Only 8 days left? I bet there were times when you thought it would never happen, but you're nearly there - I almost typed we're nearly there. So 8 more days - you could make it fun and do something super-London-y each day, something that you like but won't do so easily when you're no longer based there - pick up supper from Borough Market, walk along the river when the lights are coming on, go to the most Hipster bar and order something deconstructed (then reconstruct it), I'm sure you have lots of things that you do now and won't be able to do so easily in the future.
Hope it all goes well.
She's totally awesome!
I know right! 3 months ago I thought i would never come round! haha it does feel like we've been on this journey together doesn't it! you guys have kept me sane!!
That is SUCH A great idea, i will do!!! This morning I already did one actually, I was in work too early so I went and took breakfast outside and sat in the sun eating my toastie enjoying the view of the city!
Tomorrow I am meeting old colleagues and eating lunch on Exchange Square just like we used to when I worked with them.

Down to 6 commutes now! This day next week I will be a very happy girl!
My replacement is picking things up really well. A bit too well, she is asking a lot of questions about cash flow and our financials and their plans to keep the company afloat. She's got a lot of experience and can see without me telling her what state it is all in, I am not sure if she is comfortable with that to stick around or not it's hard to tell. I would be pretty miffed off if I'd taken a job in good faith and not been told what state it was in beforehand. We shall see! Also, not my problem! haha
Had a girls night with my bessie last night, we stayed in ate pizza, drank wine and watched Bridesmaids... I love that film so funny! Feeling a bit sleepy this morning! She lives in town so I was hoping for a lie in this morning but she wanted to leave at 7:15 so no such luck! haha
I've got a wedding to go to next Friday, next to spend the next 9 days eating like and angel to make sure I can squeeze into my dress!
Have a good Wednesday all!

Morning LG glad things are going quickly - sure your replacement must be feeling a little funny given the state of affairs, hope the questioning isn;t getting too much. Not long left!

The polish have an expression "not my circus not my monkeys" which means not your problem! so leave it alone. But I understand it has a bit of a more fool you attitude and hence is quite harsh
Anyway - youve done well to hand it over so quickly so just keep smiling and being infuriatingly cheerfulI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -
Thanks guys!
Friday is done! Snuck off at four with a couple of others for a quick drink and now I'm waiting to meet friends for dinner! Only 3 days to go!!!! Eek!
I am so happy as there was due to be a four hour board meeting on Wednesday afternoon... Not how I want to spend my last day in the office! And now it's been brought forward to Monday and is only two hours! Win! Even better it means I am free Wednesday evening to get my last train home and go out to dinner with M to celebrate my freedom! Cannot wait.
Tomorrow I am riding in the morning and then we don't have much planned so I will spend some time planning meals for he week and doing a grocery shop as MSE as possible, go for a run with M and maybe book a tennis court.
Hope you guys have a good weekend LG XXSantander 0% £1,529.94

Its the final countdown - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jK-NcRmVcw
(Sorry you may be too young to truly appreciate that so here are some lyrics) - also very ironically its by Europe - so we should get a final countdown meme going
If anyone annoys you at the office, you should accidentally on purpose leave this playing out loud, or start humming it - if you could do the hair as well - well that would be simply fabulous
We're leaving together,
But still it's farewell
And maybe we'll come back
To earth, who can tell?
I guess there is no one to blame
We're leaving ground (leaving ground)
Will things ever be the same again?
It's the final countdown

oh my gosh, you are almost into your final week - amazing!!
Agree it's not your problem re the newbie (even though I know you care because you're nice). One of the reasons you decided to go was because the co was in such a mess and they should have been open and honest about it with her.
This time next week...................!!!!!! xx0 -
Given all that perhaps it's as well that you weren't included on the interview panel! You definitely can't be seen as hiding any facts.
