Given all that perhaps it's as well that you weren't included on the interview panel! You definitely can't be seen as hiding any facts. Serve them right if she decides to leave pretty sharpish.

That is SUCH a good point! Thank you! Yes, and I have only sang her praises since she has been here I have given her 100% of my time to pass on as much knowledge as possible so I am confident there is nothing extra I could have done!

    HIIII!!!!

I am SO excited!!!! Last day TOMORROW! I never though this week would come around!!!!!! 14.5 more hours!!!!

I have no more work meetings, I did my last board meeting yesterday where the Chairman and NED (who we like) were really nice and thanked me for all my work and wished me luck. So I am just having a nice time with my replacement, A, trying to make sure she knows everything she needs to!

I had some leaving drinks last night, everyone bar one in the office came which was really lovely actually. I got home about midnight after a LOT of prosecco! hahaha Arrived a bit late today as it took me so long to wake up!!

    Roll on tomorrow!

I have a nice long, unemployed weekend to look forward to now! M and I have a wedding to go to on Friday which I'm looking forward to, hopefully the weather will stay this nice!

SW and healthy eating has well and truly gone out of the window at the moment, I hate to think how much weight I have put on but honestly it has been so nice catching up with people and making sure I do my favourite London things before I leave (most of which involve food!) that I don't regret it and come Thursday I will be more motivated than ever to kick this muffin top!

I have actually found some good local things to do that are really inexpensive... one is a bootcamp class in the community centre next to my flat at a fiver a week and the other is tap dancing classes near the train station at £6 a week, I used to tap when i was younger and really fancy giving it a go again! So looking forward to doing that and hopefully meeting some more local friends too!

On such a massive high today! WOOP!!!!!

New life, here I come xxx

Now remember to take your stuff out of your office desk tonight so you don't have it all to take tomorrow. And bring in an extra bag for anything that you've forgotten (plus hopefully a decent size armful of flowers).

And an extra special lunch tomorrow - hope its a good last few hours.

Good plan, that can be my task this afternoon!

HAHA flowers - I should be so lucky! LOL

I do actually have a very special lunch tomorrow, my commuting buddy is taking me to Duck and Waffle at the top of the Heron Tower, views are spectacular! I cant wait :)

IT'S HERE!!!! I DID IT!!!! 3 Whole months!!!!!

Feel so emotional today, happy to be ditching the commute, sad to be ditching the colleagues I like, nostalgic to be leaving London after 9 fabulous years! But excited for the new start and challenges ahead!!!!

SW Trains do need to stop proving to me that I am doing the right thing by messing up their services! No warning online about the delays, get to Waterloo... chaos. I have never seen it so packed, you couldn't move! Not a single train was leaving, there was a fire at Twickenham and signal failures... everywhere!

My back up plan of Paddington also had delays so no go.

Had to get 4 tubes in 33 degree heat with 4 bags (emptied my desk yesterday!) to Heathrow for M to pick me up! I couldn't believe it! Over 3.5 hours it took!

He treated me to Nandos on the way home though to cheer me up!!!

Anyway, easy journey in this morning so hopefully they manage to keep the trains running today! Me and L (who does the same commute) are getting the train home together with a bottle of prosecco to celebrate!

    EEK!

    LG xx
