Recent action taken to help situation:
1) Re-budgeted to ensure I can end each month having not increased debt
2) Been extra careful on the social part of that budget (as this is my weakest area) and assigned amounts to each committed engagement. All budget now allocated for January so no more spend allowed!
3) Spoken to my friends about my plans and situations so they won't be surprised or peeved when I suggest alternative plans or sit out some things.
4) Invested £30 in the new 16-30 railcard (only 5 months of being 30 left!!!) as I travel to London to see friends and this will reduce my expenditure significantly and will be paid off in 3 journeys.
No2 is the one I always over spend on so this is my biggest challenge, however I was asked to join a group of girls at my gym (my membership fee is really low and I use it 7-8 times a week so workes out a couple of quid a session, this has been the number 1 things to get my mental health back on track hence not given up!) to train for the SuperHuman Games in Feb, it's free as a lady had to drop out and refused my offer to pay her entry fee AND means Im now extra determined to stay in and drink less as I have 3 team mates to work hard for so i don't let the team down on the day! My gym is honestly awesome, it's not a normal gym, it's really small and on a farm. I have some great mates there and every morning they put a smile on my face!Santander 0% £1,529.94

Hi LG,
Good to see you back. I’m a long time lurker but I don’t think I ever posted.
Fingers crossed for the buyer or buy-out!
Don’t beat yourself up about the debt, unfortunately break ups can be expensive and life happens.0 -
Hello LG,
I'm so sorry to hear about your recent news, but you're facing it well, as you always do, and should be proud of yourself too. Getting back into some debt is unavoidable really after everything you've been through and the time of year.
It's good to know you and your ex are more friendly now and I hope you get an overall resolution to the flat situation very soon.
Take care,
MTx0 -

Happy New Year.
It's lovely to have you posting again, though I'm still sorry about the reasons for it I'm happy to hear you sounding much more positive and with good solid plans to get yourself sorted. I remember your days of £10 daily spending and counting your pennies, you've done this before and you can easily do it again. Hi LG - lovely to see you back, although sad to hear things haven't panned out as you may have been hoping
Its always possible to just forget the history and and just deal with the now problems now and take confidence from how you recovered your previous position - if you want to take reassurance from the fact that you can be in debt on and off for 20 years and not be totally b***ered by it then I just started a diary and it seems to be going ok - especially as I am just talking and not having to report results. some of your impressive organisational insights would be very welcome. we are a lovely bunch on the debt free boards - aware of human weakness and pretty tolerant as a consequence - sounds like you could do with some of that
happy 2019 to youI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
