    Morning all!

So interviews... let me fill you in....

I met the restaurant people. He was nice and it was an OK interview. I could tell i didn't have the right sort of management experience they were looking for so I wasn't surprised when I got the call to say that they weren't taking me forward. But that's OK as I think I would have been out of my depth again on that one and location wasn't perfect.

Anyway on Monday I had 2 interviews! Do you guys remember me telling you about the tutor role that had asked me in to see them? I met them (comapny K) on Monday and did a 10 minute lesson for them then had a quick chat. I was quite surprised how easy I found it to "teach" and quite enjoyed it and the chat afterwards was good so I came away feeling positive.
Downsides to this role are quite big though: firstly are the hours. It will require evening (up to 10pm) and weekend (9-5) work as they run courses out of work hours. And also the pay drop is between £10-13k... eek. As much as I like the idea of teaching I don't think I can afford that, it would equate to losing £600 a month after tax and I just don't have that spare - who does?! Even taking into account lower commuting costs that would only give me £200ish extra. Plus, the idea is by changing roles I have more time at home... this doesn't tick that box either but it was good to go in and find out more.

They have asked me back for a second interview next Friday which is brilliant to know and gave me some confidence in myself but I am waiting to hear on opportunity two....

So, also on Monday I had a phone interview with a lovely big energy company. My Dad spent 30 years in the energy business so I gave him a call before hand and he briefed me up on how the industry works which was really interesting and helped me impress on the phone... so much that he asked me for a face to face interview on the same call.

So I went in yesterday and met two guys who I would be working with, they were great, the interview went great and they gave me a great impression of the company. So I think it went well and I am hoping for a second interview... at the end they asked my availability for tomorrow to meet the other guy so I am hoping that was a good sign. Eek, watching my phone like a hawk today!

So, lots going on, all really positive and I am starting to think this might come together quite soon. I love the idea of following my Dads footsteps into that industry and the role itself really suits what I am good at and offers the opportunity to work with the business and become an advisor to them which would be great.

    Fingers crossed!

In terms of my current job... well I've not had the best week. I think I'm stressed about fitting in all these interviews and not letting work drop or letting them get suspicious about my committment and I made a couple of mistakes which my boss, A, picked up on.

He called me into his office and mentioned I hadn't seemed myself recently and I seem down and its not like me to make mistakes and asked if everything is OK.

I dunno what happened all of a sudden I got upset! I managed not to proper cry - thank god! - but he could clearly see something was wrong. So i apologised that I was having a bad week and that I'd pick myself up. I admitted that I was still really struggling with commuting and I'm exhausted etc.

he was kinda sympathetic but not really, said he didn't feel I could do more than one day a week at home (I think he thought thats what I was asking for) and I agreed as I have to support the girl in my team. So then he asked what I was thinking of. I didn't say I was looking around but I did say that I didn't know how much longer I could work in London. He said he thought if i stuck it out a bit longer then I'd get used to it.

So that's how we left it, we have our weekly catch up this morning so I won't mention anymore unless he brings it up. At least now if i do resign it won't be completley out of the blue for him (which he would hate) so I feel a bit better in that respect. But not I really hope this role comes thorugh as I don't want the pressure of more interviews.

    I am so interviewed out!

I'll let you guys know if I hear anything!

The riding show on Sunday was brilliant fun. Lexi and I came last! Hahaha She decided to spook at two of the jumps and on the last one it took 3 goes for me to get her to jump it. The first time she ducked out by trying to fit between the wall and the wing of the jump, destroying the jump and squashing me! haha luckily I wasn't hurt and it made a great photo! Next one is in June!

I am doing well at slimming world this week! I have been under my syns all week so far so even though I'm not managing to fit in a lot of exercise with everything that's going on I feel better than I'm eating right!

Hope you're all having a good week, I will try to catch up on your diaries later!

Lots of positive vibes for you LG, things are definitely moving for you.

Easier said than done, but try not to worry too much about your boss and his perception of you. Many men cannot handle tears, so that may have been difficult for him and you have been pretty honest with him without revealing your hand. It is entirely possible that he thinks you're pregnant by the way...if you add up how your recent illness and not seeming yourself, and then being tearful might appear to someone else.

Sat here with everything mentally crossed for you that one of your new opportunities soon gets you away and onto the next chapter.

Thanks Joey, I totally hadn't thought of it in that way at all! I would find that funny if he did!

    Morning!

Well it couldn't have gone any better and I couldn't have done any more, so now I wait until Monday to hear! I met a lady and a man who were great, we actually had a good laugh and I think I would enjoy working with them. They made some positive comments to some of my answers so fingers crossed it's a good sign.

M and I went over the road for a curry last night which is my weekly cheat meal so need to be on plan for the rest of the weekend :)

Today it's his nieces christening so we have a day with the family. We're going to Prezzo for lunch after (the job I didn't get ;)) so I'll pick something in advance that's slimming world friendly and won't even look at the menu!

Tomorrow is just horse riding and chilling.

Hope you all have a good one

Well done. Let's hope for good news on Monday, but congratulations anyway on knowing that you had a good experience and gave a good account of yourself - you can do no more. Hope you have a lovely weekend.
