Had my own friend probs the other day - girl in a carehome - she wants out (normal) yet has had a completey different disability experience to me. Wont help herself - expects the medics to somehow find the right drug and reverse her life by 20years
It 'aint going to happen
Last friday we went out to a show - thought I'd have her round for tea before hand
She moaned for two hours!!!! and then passed wind and blamed it on my pets (was so not!!!) - I'd already let her smoke in the flat..wasn't nice
Then family probs all weekend and into this week
Just pants!!!!
Pinky still sore (was just healing when, with stress, I cleaned the lobby floor - it got sore).
Och sometimes you just have to look for the little blessings LG

Thanks Brightspark! I dropped the car off this morning and should have her back in a week or so, fingers crossed! It all happens just when you don't need it doesn't it?!
Bobarella - I live in a flat share in London and my bf is on the army base just outside of London
Thanks Lulabelle! - Cheers I will join you in that Prosecco! I will have to make sure we have some on ice for moving day.
Erme - that sucks re your friend! I'm sorry she has problems but that is no excuse for those manners! Sounds like she is very lucky to have you as a friend. I hope your pinky is better very soon!
So,we are expecting some documents from the solicitor later today for M and I to sign, hopefully soon we can find out exchange dates etc I'm not really sure what happens in this part of the process now so I asked my solicitor to give me a call today to explain. I don't like being out of control!
I am interviewing at work today, the Accounts Assistant in my team resigned (I was both expecting and hoping that he would - nice guy but not fantastic at the job!) I've never done interviews before so it's interesting! I am sort of enjoying it! Tonight I have a night out in Essex with colleagues then back to London tomorrow to spend the weekend with M relaxing!
Hope you all have lovely weekends

Don't mind at all Bobarella!
Hope you're doing ok Erme!
Hi all,
Not much has happened on this house this week really, I am waiting for everything from the solicitor which she has assured me will arrive by the end of the week to allow us to sign in case we can exchange whilst we're away. She says we're on track for end of August but I don't place a huge amount of hope on it, she probably is working on our case but because I rarely get an update unless I chase for it it doesn't feel like much is happening but it seems this is the norm for solicitors so fingers crossed it won't be too long.
We went out at the weekend, we bought all our towels and bath mats etc from Dunelm we went for a nice bright terractoa - ish orange.
We then braved Ikea (on a Saturday night - rock n roll) and picked the dining table and chairs we like as well as a few other bits.
On Sunday we went to M&S (m's mum works there) so she showed us around homewares and we picked out some nice bedding, duvet and pillows, saucepans and crockey. We haven't ordered it yet as apparently a sale is coming up!
All very exciting and I can't wait to see it all in the new house!
Work is good, my Accounts Assistant resigned (which I was expecting) so I did some interviews last week and have actually recruited a lovely girl who was recommended to me through a friend so I'm looking forward to having some new personality in the team.
Only two more working days now until holidays! Just hope the house is going through OK before we go so we don't need to stress while we're away!

Just got a call from my partner, our solicitor sent our contracts to his Mums address rather than mine as instructed!!! Thank goodness he is off work and staying there this week!
Anyway just spoke to the solicitor and she said we should be able to exchange whilst we're away which is from next Monday to following Wednesday and then complete shortly after... aiming for 28th to allow us the bank holiday to move.
Fingers crossed big time!!!!!!
We're gonna send the deposit to the solicitor this weekend before we go so that us being away won't delay anythingSantander 0% £1,529.94

I had a budget holiday backpacking - some expensive - some cheap
Budget same as last years. Pay for accomodation and travel then cash only budget each day from hole in the wall...
Came back laden with a heap of stuff I didn't need but still. Needed it. At least I have learnt e-cig lessons from past few years (don't take anything that needs rebuilding cos you'll have guaranteed not to have that vital bit you need and you'll be back on the stinkies!!!). Now have poorly pets though Basil's eye after 2 days of antibiotics is looking better (it's known as the joys of underbudgeting for hols. The money has gone to my vets LOL)
