    Hi all,

Well today has been a funny day!

Had a fun night out last night with some work friends, spent £25 so didnt break the bank and I'll make sure I don't spend this weekend to make up for it

I got up this morning v late and my FM's girlfriend was at home as she wasn't feeling well, we were chatting and she told me how her flatmates had asked her to move out, so her and my FM, P, have decided to move in together which is really lovely for them but I'm a bit gutted as P is a brilliant flat mate.

She's going to live with us for a short while, whilst they look for a place and she's going to pay our bills in return which is nice of her and will mean that my "bills pot" will have a nice emergency buffer to it.I love having her round the flat too so it will be a shame when they move out.

I had a meeting today with my old boss J, we were chatting afterwards and he mentioned he is working on the new budget for the firm and it is being approved that the company will have no pay increase again this year. Apart from special cases including newly qualifieds (hopefully me!) and that they will have a minimum salary which is set at £15k more than my current salary :D:D:D:D:D:D I am so pleased I didn't know this before me exam or I would have felt even more pressure to pass.

Now, if I don't pass I will be a million times more gutted but its good to know the pay range I can expect. I worked out that at that level I would have another £750 a month in my hand!

You guys know the difference that will make to me and it really will make all that work seem so worthwhile. For them to review my salary I have to pass this exam and be accepted for CIMA membership, I sent off my membership application a few weeks ago, they will review my experience and assess if they agree if I have enough suitable experience, Im expecting feedback from that around the same time as my exam result or within 2 weeks later. If both come back good, then I inform work and they will backdate my pay increase to the date I was accepted.

If all this happens I will be debt free so much quicker than I expected, it would be just amazing. I chatted to two guys who qualifed recently and they both confirmed that theirs was sorted pretty quickly and backdated too. I am however, trying to not get my hopes up as none of this is guaranteed but I just HAD to tell you all!

Is that a light flickering at the end of this tunnel????

Right, back to life as usual today... and that means skint.

Today has not gotten of to a good start as I forgot to pack my work shoes and had no option but to go and buy a pair as it was way to far to go back home to retrieve.I did pick a reasonable priced pair at £32 and some which will come is useful in the future as I dont have a smart nude pair of shoes and I'm sure they'll last me ages.Just a massive pain as they weren't budget for.

I have been online this am and transffered the money from my emergency savings which now stands at £60. Having done the rest of my sums I have worked out I have a budget of £3 a day for the rest of the month until pay day. DAMN.Looks like I was a bit too lenient with my budget during the exam.

Luckily it is so far looking like a quiet rest of the month. It's my flat mates 30th in 2 weeks and I have already put aside £50 for the day (£30 for afternoon tea - I DONT EVEN LIKE TEA!!!! and £20 for the night out)

The weekend after, Mum and Dad are visiting for the weekend and so I shouldnt need to spend much at all!

I had a nice weekend back home, Mum gave me £20 for me to go riding when I told her I hadn't booked anything because I couldn't afford it. And Im so pleased she did as I had a brilling jumping lesson we built a course which probably finished at just under 3ft it was such a fun way to get back in the saddle. Going to call the London yard today and find out when I can ride this week.

Back to work today then and its month end so going to be busy!have a good one

Your salary news is fantastic. It is good you don't have that added pressure before the exam, but I do feel for how nerve wracking the next few weeks will be. But, you aced your mocks before the exam so there's no reason to worry! What a fantastic incentive your company offer.

So, your last tight month for hopefully - ever! If all goes to plan. £3 a day will be a struggle, but now you're back in planning mode I'm sure you'll get through it.

    Morning all,

Managed 20mins on a treadmill last night before the aches and pains began so walked if off and had a healthy supper from the freezer.

I defrosted some chicken overnight so will have that tonight with veg from the freezer too. I like doing the recipe that Philadelphia show on their adverts, mixing the philly with parmesan and cooking the chicken with it, its really yummy.

We have got one of the local rugby lads coming to have a quick look at P's room tonight, Ive met him before and he is nice and I'd be happy for him to take it.

My other flatmate S, is being weird about it because he is younger than her - hes only a few months younger than me! Then she got all upset over nothing, saying it'd turn into a party house!! She hasn't even met him and he may not even like the room, I really hope finding someone isn't going to turn out to be stressful.

I think I may have to bite my toungue and remember that I don't plan to live with the person very long at all (fingers crossed) and as long as they're normal and reasonable then I'll just go with it.

Tonight I have my free personal training session for re-joining the gym (the gym is only £19.99 a month and I can cancel anytime if I dont use it. Though I did join before I realised how skint i was this month. DOH) and tomorrow I am hoping to be told I can go horse riding.

Off to get breakfast, have a good day all
