Hi all
What a weekend! Going to have to write an essay to fill you in!
Felt dreadfully ill on Friday, came home from work and went straight to bed despite the office hotty (who I'll admit I have been flirting with) trying to drag me to the pub!
I had budgeted £50 for the antics for my flatmates 30th birthday and spent £60 so not bad at all.
Got up yesterday and went for a ride which was lovely, came home and changed then went to afternoon tea with the girls for part one of the birthday celebrations. We went to a hotel in Mayfair and i have to say it was really disapointing.
It cost £29.50 for afternoon tea (sober) or £41.50 with champagne. I went for the sober option but a few had a glass of fizz.
The service was unbelieveably slow despite the restaurant beingg half full, the waiter were really rude. The food was OK but nothing exceptional for the market its in, the sandwiches were nothing we couldnt have made ourselves and the serving per person was tiny.
The bill took ages and had drinks on that we hadn't had and a huge service charge. We asked for the service charge to be taken off as the service really ruined the whole experience.
We came back to the flat, put on some music, had some prosecco and got ready en mass! off we went to a bar nearby which was great fun, some of the boys met us there too and we got stuck in. I bought a round early on and after that drinks seemed to appear in my hand which was fabulous!
Danced the night away with some great friends!
Oh and possibly set my hair on fire!!!!
I was have a cheeky (one off) cigarette with a friend outside with a drunken heart to heart and as I lit up my hair just went up in flames! I didnt even have any hairspray in it (thank goodness) luckily my friend lept into action and he patted it all out. Other than some singed ends there's no real damage! I will give it a chop one night this week and tidy it up. Oops, that'll teach me to smoke!!!
Got home at 4am, woke up this morning with zero voice and P cooked us all a cooked breakfast, slept away the afternoon and am now sat down getting excited for the return of Downton Abbey!!
Brilliant weekend and almsot within budget. Score!
A guy who is a friend of P who is interested in taking his room and moving in with us came out too and he seems great, S likes him too and he is coming over tomorrow night so fingers crossed that will work out!
Riding tomorrow am before work, and Thursday is exam results! Seriously scared now!!!!Santander 0% £1,529.94

2 days until my exam results. So far this week I haven't managed to sleep through a full night. Keep waking up having had allsorts of dreams about getting the result - good and bad!
Coming down with a honking cough, shouldn't probably be at work but I have my first board meeting today where I need to present my accounts and I really don't want someone else to stand in for me. Luckily its a conference call so they won't have the delights of me spluttering all over them!
Boxing again tonight (If I can manage it)
We have offered P's room to S, he is friends with P and seems really nice and easy going so he will move in at the end of October once P and his GF have found a new place for them.
Managing on my meagre budget!
Mum and Dad are in London visiting this weekend so fingers crossed I won't need to spend much, really looking forward to seeing them, I have Friday booked off work and if the weather stays nice want to take them to Hampton Court Palace.Santander 0% £1,529.94

Hi London Girl. I just wanted to tell you I have spent the past two days reading your diary - day off today but finished reading it this morning. I just want to say what a fab job you have done so far. Like you I also work in London but commute so believe me I know all about the temptations and pressures to go out. I am very strict but sometimes can't resist a treat or a lunch etc etc. i signed up to a challenge on the savings board of trying to save five grand and as you will see from my signature am failing miserably. Any way, I'll keep checking in to see how you are doing. Keep up the good work. You will get there I know.

Hi EC
Thanks so much for reading it all, its not a small diary anymore!! Its so hard to resist the temptation isn't it? I have to say the last two months I have been the worst in the past year with me taking my foot off the mark and concentrating more on other things but from next payday is back to business as usual!
You're doing well, almost halfway! well done! good luck and thanks for your lovely message

thanks Miggy, its such a good workout I'm feeling it today, I will do feeling knackered after a fourth night of no sleep. I took two herbal sleeping pills and still I lay awake tossing and turning all night.
I think I may need the help of Mr Red Wine to get me off to sleep tonight.
The results should be there when I wake up in the morning. EEK. Feeling so petrified of opening that email.Santander 0% £1,529.94

After all the work you put in, there will undoubtedly be a crowd of MSE-ers banging on the exam board's doors if you don't get exactly what you want! You really deserve to do well. Opening the results is always an ordeal though, isn't it?
I think Mr Red Wine might come in useful tonight as you say.In fact I think it should come included in the price of the exam.
