Been a bit naughty and bought lunch with cost £7... canteen was full of chips and i just felt so bloated already I couldnt do it, so went and got noodle soup so yummy but not cheap.
Am meeting a friend who I actually dated years ago for some drinks tonight, we've always kept in touch over the years and get on well we went out when we were v young and are both a bit more grown up now (I'd hope!) he just started a job down the road from my office so been seeing a bit more of each other but I think he has a few things to iron out with his not-quite-ex girlfriend so im keeping it very firmly as friends!
The horse who I've ridden for the past 3 years is not well, he is old and has lost an awful lot of weight and has arthiritis in his fore legs, it was so sad to see him this morningThey're doing they're best to get him right but I'm just not sure, he should be recovered from winter now (where old horses do tend to lose weight) not getting worse...

Ah yes, lunch....I had forgotten about that.
Hope the flat hunt goes well and that you find somewhere cheaper and nicer than where you are now. I am still waiting for the exchange of contracts on the little house that the bank of mum and dad are buying...the vendors are really vile and even our own solicitor has lost patience with them because the whole sale is taking so long. One of my cousin's has sold a house, bought a new house and moved in and has been settled for a few months now since this house saga started in February:mad: I have managed to rope in some friends to help me move too which is a great boon. (It is amazng what folks will do for beer and pizza - I am thinking pizza as the local pizzeria near my new house always runs a BOGOFF on pizzas which will be very MSE).
It is sad to hear about the horse being old and infirm - I hope he retires somewhere nice where he can roll around in the field until the time comes for his passing. I was thinking about you this morning when I saw the news with all the horseguards doing their run throughs prior to the Jubilee celebrations. I shall watch it on tv during breaks from packing and cleaning.0 -
EAT!
I really feel for you, it has dragged out so long I remember when you first saw it. I have my fingers permanently crossed that they pull their finger out and you can move it
Yes, the vet is looking into it for him I think, I wish I could take him myself but I'd have to make a sizeable donation and there's no way I could keep up vets bills and livery etc
Ah yeah, they were up at 1am this morning for all that, they were just coming back in when I arrived at 6am. They are doing similar tomorrow to prepare for the trooping of the colour tooSantander 0% £1,529.94

Hey guys!
Hope you're OK Lil, will catch up on your diary soon, am struggling to work through them all!
Hope Erme and Horace are eating!!!
I had a wonderful weekend, went out on Friday night with an old friend and he joined me and my work friends for drinks, which turned into dinner then a bar where his friend was DJing.... I haven't added up how much I spent as I just daren't! We hadn't been out in so long I got totally carried away so that means I have completely cleared out my £10 a day fund for the remainder of the month and I'm having to live off the £1 and £2 coins Ive been saving since January, I have £98 of those.
So it was a good but v.expensive night, my friend owes me lunch on Friday as I paid for an extra round after his cash ran out... It reminded me how easy it is to get carried away, I've been totally off the ball the last two months and I really must now snap out of it and get back on track or this could go horribly wrong!
My younger brother turns 21 today so we had a family meal at the weekend which was lovely and Granny treated us all to that, on Sunday I rode the horse I used to share when I lived back home which was lovey and on Monday my friend got married so me and my family went to the wedding which was beautiful and even better, the bank of Dad came along and I "just so happened" to appear at the bar beside my father as he reached for his wallettee hee
I haven't heard from the flat I went to view so maybe they found someone else. But last night, my flatmate S told us she is planning to move into a place by herself but not for a few months. So we can't do anything yet with regards to replacing her as she needs to find somewhere then hand in her notice first. But now I feel like if I move out too it's leaving P in the lurch a little and also I might enjoy living there more if we find someone a bit more relaxed to replace S. But it doesn't change the things which are wrong with the flat... hmmm it would be the most sensible thing to stay (as our flat is cheap compared to what I've been viewing) until I'm debt free then re-consider...
so, the month ahead needs to be vvv frugal, its 18 days till payday and I have £98 so thats £5.44 per day to spend. I do have quite a lot of things in the diary which isn't ideal but I'll just have to do them frugally, i've done it before, I'll do it again!Santander 0% £1,529.94

I don't want to be a size zero although my mum would like me to be 7st which is how much I weighed when I got married 25 years' ago -now I am divorced (the nisi has been received and I need to wait for the absolute), I weigh 11 stone something or other:eek: Mostly caused by not eating properly.
I have just had a chicken bap (free chicken from mum, bap from Aldi) and a toffee flavoured gloopy thing from Aldi as a treat. Dinner last night was a sirloin steak with salad leaves, my remaining tomato and a jacket spud:cool:
I spent the weekend glued to the tv watching the various Jubilee things including the parade yesterday. I should have been packing my stuff but although I did some I did not do all as it can be demoralising especially when you have a lot of stuff like me:( I did get some quotes for removals though instead of relying on friends.
In other news I have had a telephone interview this morning with the large supermarket beginning with M - not sure how I have done as I havent worked shifts and don't like working weekends as I like to keep them free for other things. In other news I have an interview tomorrow afternoon for a part time (could end up being full time) telesales job working for a company that sells spectacle parts e.g. nose pads etc. I am surprised that I passed the telephone interview for that one because I had to cut them short as I was being called into a role playing exercise with MnS. I hope I get this job tomorrow because it wouldnt be far from home - I could possibly walk it at a push and certainly could drive there in 5 mins.
Each time I go out now I am leaving a piece of paper at the top of the door so that I can see if someone has been in whilst I have been out. I had thought of ringing up the letting agent to tell them when they can conduct viewings but I am feeling bl**dy minded and will prefer to catch them in my flat as I have another method to deal with them. I am not objecting to the viewings but hate the rudeness of them especially as I have only just given notice of my intention to leave.0 -
Hi LG
Sounds like you had a lovely weekend. Always handy to have bank of mum or dad around sometimes. My mum has been a life saver helping me with car expenses. But it made me think, she doesn't work and is on Pension Credits and still has more money than me all the time. So I have decided at the end of this month I am going to start putting a little aside into one of my savings accounts as an emergency fund.
If you stay put in your flat, I hope you can get the damp sorted out, it won't do much for your health.
Take care.
Lil

7st doesn't sound nearly enough unless you are 3ft tall.... I think you should aim for a healthy weight which you would be happy with
Have you heard back from the interview? Have everything crossed for you, you deserve it so much
Good idea, they are not allowed to enter as they please without notifying you first until you have vacated, so rude and a huge intrusion of privacySantander 0% £1,529.94
