Helloooo LondonGirl!
My, you have been busy. Those end of month stats look fab anyway, whether or not you thought you had a not-so-great month.I think you have the balance just right - studying and exams have to take priority as they will make the most difference in the long run and providing you keep the spending under control within reason then you shouldn't be worrying about it.
Glad you are getting plenty of riding in too - I always find time out in the fresh air helps me concentrate once I get down to studying or desk-based work. And as for the £50 annual payment for riding, that is a bargain. There isn't many places where you could ride horses like you do for an hour for anywhere near that!
You mentioned an equestrian art exhibition you went to recently. Was it once particular artist or collection? What type of art was it? I ask because there is an artist who does a lot of high end dressage paintings who I have seen exhibiting at the National Championships and the paintings are to die for. They are so lifelike and you can almost see the movement in them. I have some post card prints of hers but the real things are far too expensive for me! (I can't think of her name at the moment but I am sure it will come to me!)
Anyway, better fly - supposed to be working now but will catch up again soon.

:T:T to the unexpected £150! :T:T
You seem very organised - good to have it all worked out now and have some leeway financially so you can concentrate on studying.

Sometimes life gets in the way, but you live and learn and make adjustments. When I have overspent I look at where and why, and what I would rather spend my cash on. So if I'm having a tough month (feeling fed up and with a lot of stress) I often will wake up late, buy lunch & coffee out, buy clothes & shoes, go out for drinks with friends, eat take aways. Then I think eeekkkkk! and work out a plan, so when things are tough on me I need to go easier on myself. In doing that I'd rather 1. be with friends & have a laugh, 2. have new things and last eat out lunch from the bakery. So If I'm sleeping more, I'll try to batch cook at the weekend & look round bootfairs/Cs's/ebay that way I free up the cash to be with friends! Phew complicated!!!
Good luck with the studying x
Hey!
Thank you, you're so right and I like your way of ranking what you would prefer to do, I will try and use that.
I did a meal plan last night for the week and bought it all today so hopefully that will be me sorted for food (apart from the top up shop on Friday for fresh stuff!)
Thanksx

Thanks, at least its all going in the right direction! I did well with debt-busting but not so well with frivoulous spending so thats what Im concentrating on this month!
SO TRUE!!!
There were 3 artists, Daniel Crane, Katie Scorgie and Tom Hoar, they were painting of day to day activity around the yard and the events they work at, really beautiful paintings

OK worked out where I spent all my money last month:
Boots: £123.70  REALLY??? WHAT on earth on? I know I did one biggish shop there to stock up on toiletries but the rest is silly spending!
Supermarkets and eating out: £255.88 :eek::eek: This goes to show how it all adds up when you have the odd Pret lunch or take out for dinner! My meal plan should sort that for this month
My friend just called me; He's at a party with some of the England rugby team JEALOUS!!!!!Santander 0% £1,529.94

You know that is so true DNMS.....I just had a huge whoopsie on a new bike but i know what I need to concentrate on this next week. Also I remind myself my bike wasn't the most expensive one in the shopand the last bike did need a lot of work doing to it (and gave me terrible back ache riding it)...this one is a joy to ride. Have gotten bike insurance etc. and I got £50 off cos it was last years model :T...only extras I had to pay for were cup cakes for the chap doing it a day early LOL...

Hi gang!
Haven't been on much as not a huge amount to report!
Its been study study study for me with just 3 weeks to go.... money going OK, no huge extravagant purchases. Can't check my online banking as I reset my laptop and lost my customer number so need to wait until I get back in the office to do that tomorrow....Santander 0% £1,529.94

Hi Londongirl,
I have been reading your diary on and off for the last week, its a like a good book I could not put down.
Im also studying (CIPD) whilst having a full time job, social life and debt busting. I can totally undertsand the stress your under, I am really struggling to keep it all together. I go to college 1-3 days a month so have to catch up on my work each time im off which is hard. But once I complete the CIPD it will lead to a better paid job.....
Your diary is really inspiring me I got paid today so I am working on taking out £60 cash a week and thats it, cards left at home. I have a seperate pot for budgeted occasions like my friends 30th birthday so £60 a week should be plently.

Hi Tasha!
Ah thanks for reading through and commenting, sounds like you're in a really similar position to me. A friend of mine has done CIPD so I know that's really stressful too, good luck for completing it. Do you have much more to do?
Yay well done! Its so much easier when cards are left at home, we get so used to having them in our purse that it becomes habit to spend on them and for some reason I see handing over cash at its face value but using a card doesn't register I've spent money!
Good luck for sticking to it!

Hi Londongirl,
I had a mock exam yesterday which I scrapped a pass....... but its still a pass. We were given our next assignment as well, a 7000 word business report..... I hate writing reports.
Hope your studying and money saving is going well.
Hi to everyone else.
Tasha.
I’m back and more determined than ever!!!!!0
