Hi LG, i've been catching up with your diary for about the last week. Just wanted to say you've been doing amazing well and have really inspired me to start a diary. Looking forward to following the rest of your journey!
Also wanted to say I really love your interpretation of the Santander letterWe all have to try to remember that these banks aren't trying to help us, they're trying to rob us for all we've got!

Hi all,
Well, blood donation is now tomorrow lunch time! Thanks for all the tips, I am remembering them all! I met my cousin for lunch yesterday and had a couple of beers completley not thinking about not being able to drink!!! So I rang this morning, explained and apologised profusley and now I can go tomorrow when it is out of my blood! What a plonker!!!
Lunch yesterday was so nice with my cus, we chatted for hours and the bill only came to £20 each even though we were there from 2pm till 10pm!! Im sure the barman was fudging it for us bless him, well, it is my local! LOL Although on the receipt I did notice that halves of beer there are only £1.80 so maybe this could be a new cheap drink to have if I do fancy going out! It didn't really help the no-drinking rule I had placed but that can start today! LOL
I bought my friend her birthday present yesterday and that cost £16 and has come out of the birthday budget pot, I had to buy the wrapping this am so that was a spend, so I'm moving my grocery night to tonight so I can try and make up for the NSD this week.
Got lots of riding booked in this week which Im looking forward to
Saturday am at college so will prepare a packed lunch. I did a good few hours on Sat and Sun so need to keep up the pace, the workload is huge.
I have cancelled the drinks on Tuesday and explained about my college work load so she was happy to re-arrange when that has calmed down and I have some cash. Which leaves me with a nice spend free-ish week.
My FM got offered a mystery shopper trip for next week.... for a chain of really nice steak restaurants in London... we have £100 to spend!!! SWEET! So that will be a nice free meal out!!
Still waiting for £50 overpayment to show on my statement and for £96 Post Office direct debit to go out which will be later this week I hope.
Really busy at work today, it could be a late night so need to crack on!Santander 0% £1,529.94

Remember to eat a big breakfast tomorrow morning! The first time I gave blood was unexpected - a friend came over and asked me to come along so I hadn't thought about it and didn't really prepare - it was about 1pm and I'd only eaten a banana and nearly fainted when the blood was being taken. They had to stop taking it and because I hadn't given the full amount it couldn't be used so none of it counted. Silly me for not eating more
Fingers crossed for your bonus, mine came through in my Jan paycheque. EVeryone said they got about half of what they had last year but mine had gone up so I must be doing something right at work! You sound like you've put the hours in and worked hard so I have faith you'll get a good chunk to pay off some more debt!

Hi LG
Your parents will love War Horse. DH and I went with friends over a year ago and the friends still talk about it as the best show they've ever seen!
Good luck with the blood donation - it reminds me that I need to check it out again.

Hey
Yeah I think they will love it, Mum loved the film so I reckon the theatre will blow her away
Thanks

This sounds far too 'MSE' but actually looks quite stylish. Wrap presents in newspaper. You can still stick a bow or the card to it. I used to do this in Aus as there was a particular supplement that was printed on green paper, but still looks cool with normal newspaper. It just gets torn off and thrown away anyway!December 2005 TOTAL DEBT at its worst - [STRIKE]£20,596[/STRIKE]

That's a really good idea Turbo.jet! It would look great with a bit of bright ribbon or even a series of old bright buttons!
The other cheapy wrapping paper is good old brown paper, preferably tied with raffia or rough string and if you were feeling brave/creative you could make a tag out of a bit of a cardboard box.
Yay to the mystery shopping and blood donation - of course the steak is a very good idea as it will help your iron levels.Miggy

I know what you mean, I have bought some things from a catalogue which is currently Interest Free credit. Until I formally complained about the policy, I was getting regular calls and letters to "Reduce my monthly payments" by extending the time to repay and paying them 29.4% APR. How stupid did they actually think I am?????My Debt Free Diary LBM March 2010
