Can't offer any real advice - I had my bag ripped off my shoulder several years ago in Barcelona. Fortunately, it was only minimal cards/money but rather good camera. Usually much more than that in my bag!
Presume you have cancelled any store cards. Also if your driver's licence in bag you will need to contact DVLA.
Just wanted to say commiserations.

Smokybabe and Seroxat-chick Welcome! It's always nice to have new people join in.
Aussie good luck with the move. Wishing you every happiness in your new home.
Mushypeas Bad luck on your bag being stolen. I wouldn't be able to cope if my bag was stolen as I keep so many important things in it. Maybe I should make a list right now of all the cards, etc I have in it???? Hmmmm, you've got me thinking there. I hope it all works out for you.
Kyle when I have days like the one you seem to be having, I have to keep telling myself "you have to have a few bad days to really appreciate the good ones". I chant it like a mantra. Hope things improve for you.
I've had a great morning so far. Got loads of stuff done - bathroom is gleaming, DS's bedroom isn't quite the midden it was as I have given in and sorted out and put away all his clothes. Curry is made for tonight's dinner and the WM is currently washing the three pairs of jeans that DS had thrown UNDER his bed.Filled the tank up in the car, got the absolute minimum of shopping and also got the PTA stuff out of the way. Dishes are all washed, dried and put away and living is clean and tidy. :j
Off to have some cut-price sausage rolls with beans for lunch before I start the next round. x"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Mushypeas - bad luck about the bag. Although I've never had my whole bag taken, I had my purse stolen from my bag in August 2005 (it left me stranded in the middle of the night on a train, with no obvious means of getting home as my cash and Travelcard were in the purse!) One thing I do since starting to live alone, is when I've left the flat and locked up, I always try to make sure that I take my keys out of my bag and put them in my jeans pocket. That way, if my bag gets nicked, I can still get into my flat - and the thief can't!
Edit: if I am not wearing jeans or something with a suitable pocket (NEVER use coat or jacket or anything you might inadvertently leave somewhere!) I take my keys out of my bag when I leave work (or wherever I have been for the evening) and keep them in my hand with the large ring looped around my finger, until I get home.Operation Get in Shape

Morning   (well it will be just if i type fast enough!!)
Blimey its a very poorly daily thread today isnt it:eek: Hope nothing is contagious down an internet line could do with being healthy for a few days:D
Get well soon all
Having to wait in for a courier today to pick my workbooks for the end of the week. I would usually drive but the thought of driving back from Maidstone on Friday night after a course was not good so its the air bus for me. The courier is a business one so expects you to be open all day and will therefore not give any time:rolleyes: I can imagine they will arrive at 5pm but its not worth risking going out.
I have decided this week I will be using the gym and pool at the hotel - quite shocking that I dont anyway I know but that lack of motivation thing kicks in and its room service and a glass of wine instead:o Having written that now I expect lots of aggro from you if I dont go:D
Btw its now afternoon!! should have known I couldnt do this in 5 mins!!!
Food for me today will be takeaway pizza - second part of the ms job so whilst I really dont want to do it today the option is that I order it from my hotel in Maidstone and Im not sure they will include that as within their delivery area:rotfl:
Right going to have a read around the boards then its back to work I guess
Aussie Good luck on the move hun - I imagine the house to look something like this:D
Mushy Peas how awful for you I would post that in discussion time or the arms you will get lots of response im sure
Hugs to everyone as always

Was going to say Morning all but its afternoon already - where does the time go?!
Been to Tesco this morning and stuck to my list and budget so very chuffed with that. Also been to arrange viewings for 2 houses which sound like what we're after. Then to the library, got a student cookbook so i'm looking forward to having a read through that later.
My cousin is dropping her little ones off in a bit for me to look after for the afternoon - they're my lil angel boysDD will be so chuffed to see them when she gets home from school.
Also had a clear out last night, sorted DD's toys into the new storage boxes i got and took 2 bin bags full to the charity shop this morningAh space!
B - Rice Crispies and juice for DD, Tea for me
D - Carrot and Coriander soup, bread roll, yoghurt
T - Pasta bake, garlic bread
Have a good day everyone

Hello all!
Well I got up at 8, but after sorting out lots of washing, I well and truly wore myself out. Have spent the last few hours scanning the internet and crashed on the sofa!
Going to take it easy today as going into the city and then Guides (after taking my party kit back to my boss).. will be waiting for a phone call from an agency I called earlier today... hopefully they'll know whether I'll have some supply next week by 4pm today
Might go to Lidl this evening or tomorrow to get the pooch a new collar, they are only £1.99 and he would look so smart in the black one!
Other than that I'm going to have a nice afternoon nap, write some letters and drink lots of tea... I think I deserve it!

Hi everybody!
Mushy Peas Sorry about your bag being stolen
seroxat_chick When I did my GCSEs (only 4 years ago!), my school gave me the choice of dropping one subject category and choosing two from another - I did two languages instead of one language and one humanities (R.E, geography, history). We had to have a special 'dual language' class though, with only 6 of us in - is there any way your sons school would consider doing something like that?
OH has finished his exams - he rang and said they weren't too bad. I wanted to go for a walk with him later, but he has decided to go to the pub instead (he will probably stay there until well into this evening), so am a bit peeved about that.
Have some sausages that need using so am looking for new sausage recipes that aren't Toad in the Hole or Sausage Casserole.
Cleaned the flat yesterday when I found out OHs friend was coming, so that saves me a job today. Am currently looking at jobs and doing Ebay listings.
Have a good one! :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0
