OS Tues 16th Jan

Options
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 16 jan. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Hi all:j

Up early again after a bad night for lo, again!

Ds1 was sick twice last night, his constipation has come back:confused: gave him senna syrup but that came back up again, he was drinking his water too fast and was struggling to breath, gave him a big scare, he is ok though, will see how he is today, will have to phone dr's again i think, something must have triggered it off again.

Plans today:

Bm to go on
clean oven
clean kitchen floor ( yet again! as lo poured out orange juice all over my floor! ) it is all sticky, yuk!

Hope everyone is well today, hugs
Kyle

Kyle hope your Ds1 feels better soon x x x

Well i watched BB last night and im sorry but i do think that Shilpa was wrong over the chicken, she was told several times how long it would take to cook , but she just ignored the advise and done it her own way again.. result .. raw chicken.. what does she expect .. there is no way that i would have eaten a chicken that has only had 1 hour !!!! The dinner was a disaster !

Have work this morning, then have to pop in town for some bits and bobs !

hugs to everyone who wants or needs one x x x

So sorry to hear the your DS is so poorly. Do make sure you find time to rest hun, I know how tiring it can be when a little one is so poorly and how easy it is to forget to rest yourself. I hope he gets better soon. x

Feeling very chuffed at being so OS MS at the moment as I have a baked bean tin strapped to my exhaust - how sad is that!!
Bread is nearly finished in the BM for my sandwiches, and there are eggs boiling on the stove (aren't I going to be popular when I unwrap those sarnies, lol) I didn't have anything to take yesterday so I ended up buying a danish pastry - not to good healthwise, but not too hard on the pocket at 60p. It did however make me more determined to make sure I made lunch for today. While my sarnie will probably cost almost the 60p to make, at least it will be packed with more nutrition (but the pastry was lush :D)
Rest of the day will be taken up by college & taking boys to taekwondo etc so not sure I'll be able to get back online.
I do hope everyone has a lovely day, and those who are poorly or feeling blue feel much better soon,
    Love kaz x

    Morning all.
Big hugs for the poorly ones.

Had a early night last night and feel alot better for it this morning.
Plans for today, need to food shop for a few bits, and do a post office run again.
DD still not back at school, she has 2 spots that havent dried up yet and she cant go back until they have, so have decided she can have rest of week of just to make sure shes completly well.

Which is fine apart from i cant get as much done when she is at home, i know when she is at nursery its only 2.5 hours, but what a difference it makes!!

Just had my phone bill online £58 worth of calls for the quarter, which is good for us, but £28 of that is calls to dh mobile, so i aim to cut down on that, i normally phone him on his dinner hour, but i told him this morning that ill email him, has a email thing for his phone dont know techi name for it lol but its free!

Well today is the day the council are MENT to be coming to sort the fence out, so fingers crossed, i can wait to see witches face when she sees what they are doing!!

    Have a good day

  • Morning all; evening Aussie!

Big OS day yesterday - loads of baking. Coffee and walnut cake, ginger biscuits, 2 loaves, pizzas for DD's lunchbox, pastry case for tonight's salmon and broccoli quiche. Was exhausted after that, but now don't need to cook much until the weekend.

    Good morning everyone,

Kyle - hope DS is feeling better soon xx

Aimee - agree with the chicken, made me feel a bit queezy when she said she only cooked a whole chicken for 40 - 45 minutes!!!!!

Only one little one today, who is at nursery this morning, and im up the hospital to have a check up and get my results from yesterday - im hoping they will be good as i dont have many bruises at the moment. Should be in and out quite quickly as i dont have to wait until my bloods to come back, and im hoping that i will have chance to nip into Mr Ts, only need some fruit, so hopefully wont spend too much.
No other plans apart from that, DS has football training tonight, ut i quite enjoy that, get to chat to the other mums which is nice - adult conversation!!!!!
Right, i have time for a browse before little one gets here,
    Have a lovely day everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

kyle hugs you seem to be having a hard time lately with your little ones seems like one after the other so make sure you rest too.

dlb looking forward to fencegate keep us updated hugs to everyone else.

well i've been up since midnight and trying to stay up all day to fix sleep pattern. i've been in bed since sat night not well. so far i've put dw on and got ready to send away claim forms for 4 dormant accounts and caught up on some admin that needed doing. going to go and update some of our ebay listings that need doing plus i think i'll see if https://www.justadventure.com have any new adventure games i fancy. their site has been down but was supposed to be back yesterday. i was panicking as it's where i get most of my games from before they are released over here. i've done a meal plan and freezer inventory and it looks like we don't need much shopping at all.

    Morning

Kyle - hope DS gets better soon.

Missed the thread totally yesterday so hope everyone is OK, will try and catch up later.

Today is paperwork, paperwork and then probably more paperwork. Luckily washing and ironing is all under control and taught OH how to use the new td & wm (actually had it 2 years) so he is on a mission to do the washing. Not much else he can do at the mom he needs to lots of work outside but the weather hasnt been great.

Have also got to wash all the downstairs floors as on sunday we had an addition to the family - a 19week old puppy - who is quite good with the toilet training but not yet perfect. Luckily OH gets in from work about 5am so he has to deal with any accidents from the night. He is a lovely little dog and altho was apprehensive when we went to pick him up once we got him home we knew he was perfect.

Anyway best get on, need to empty dw and wipe kitchen. Will start office work when I get home from school run.

    Have a great day.
