Morning everyone
I'm off work today, as DD was sick last night (all over my bedroom carpet:eek: ) Thanks Queenie re using a bio washing powder solution to clear it up - it worked a treat
I need to post a letter today, and catch up on ironing etc - oh to have an unplanned day off work (wish it was for a better reason though)
Hope you all have a great day
(((((hugs)))))Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Morning All
((Hugs))s to all the sickies and especially the LO's who are sick.
I'm royally !!!!ed off as the central heating broke and its freezing in this house, also the cars got a fault that our local garage cant diagnose so its got to go to Skoda. I thought our fianances were getting straight but something else always comes along to mess it up.
Not much OS going on today apart from meals, Lentil Soup for lunch and Toad in the Hole for tea. I'm off to work in a minute and DD is going to nursery this morning and grandma is looking after her this afternoon.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Hello everybody,
Just a quicky for me atm. Will come back later tonight. Had a busy day today. This is our last night at this house. Plumbing inspector passed our house, so we can now live in it. Phew.No hot water until Thur/Fri now so bracing cold showers for the next few days. Luckily it's hot as hell so it won't be hard. The house up there looks like a bomb has gone off.
I don't know how long it will take for our phone/internet connection to hook up so if I go awol for a few days you will know why.Well better take another load up. DD car has died. I've altered my insurance so she can drive our car in the interim. We are all too busy, so have put it in the too hard basket until next week.
Hope you all have a nice day & will pop back later. (((((((((hugs))))))) to those ill especially kiddies. ByeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all!
Hope DS gets better soon, Kyle. You're having a tough time of it lately, ((((hugs))))) to you all.
hypno06 good luck with the card! We had a similar problem 2 or 3 years ago, but were very lucky, just one use was made on it. But even that was hassle enough.
Plans for today are to finish what I started yesterday, organise the kitchen! Oh the heady delights of my life:rotfl: :rotfl: Actually, I think it will work better once I've finished, but boy is it a pig in the doing. You can only empty so much before you run out of worktop and I need to empty 2 or 3 cupboards at a time. Plus nobody could find anything last night! DH and DSs think I've gone barmy, but will go along with it for a quiet life:o
Best finish this now cold tea and flit round the site for ten minutes, then get started. Bye for now.

Morning all
Hugs to all those poorly ones - seems to be a lot of tummy bugs doing the rounds again - we really do need a decent cold snap to kill it off.
So dark here this morning - I've not even bothered opening the curtains yet. Had a bad night with a sore back and DD2 sleep walking twice - 2nd time she'd convinced herself she'd wet the bed and I went in to find her getting into clean jammies....bed was bone dry - bless her - she always does this when she's due a growth spurt.
WM is doing its stuff with my bedding, will have to TD it as being in a bungalow I don't have any bannisters to hang it on, trying to be very economical with the TD and heating as we had a huge bill in this quarter.
Dug my George grill out last night to do tuna steaks for DD's - forgot how quick it is - trying to find a place for it to live out on a worktop so that I use it more often.
Dinner tonight is the remains of last weeks spicy beef stew, blitzed into a soup for DH and I, DD1 is out to tea and DD2 will have beans on toast (her fav).
Hugs all round."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Morning all yes its housekeeper of the year here(NOT) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ROTFL. Trying very hard to be upbeat-don't feel like it. DH really worried sick about money. Didn't get paid on Fri(they pay on the 15th)as they hadn't done all the paper work DH was doing supply at the school but is now on a contract for the maternity cover. The change over was in Jan and despite them having all the stuff they needed CRB check, bank details, medical etc no money. They were really nice but yesterday when DH spoke to them said that it was likely that they wouldn't be able to pay the money owing untill the 15th Feb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is bad. Anyway DH really worried, I'm less worried, what will be will be. Its almost 6years to the day that DH became seriously ill and to be honest having gone through that and with the various losses we have had I must admit that whilst it is a problem(we have 17p at the mo) Ive got food in and we will have some money in(DH tutors 2 and I have got 1) which will pay for the petrol we need to get DH into school. I also have 3 mystery shops to be paid for and 4 pending. So whilst not perfect, it will be ok. Thank goodness despite my numerious faults(cant sew, knit or even tidy up!!!) I CAN cook and love to do so. On a more positive note, I have found the reciept for the Tesco kettle that managed to work for 3 weeks!!!!!!! So this will get our milk. This time 6years ago we weren't in debt and were full of plans to move. DH was healthy and to be honest we took his good health for granted. Now 6years on, we have each other ,a much stronger marrage, debts BUT DH IS FINALLY ALMOST FULLY RECOVERED(please God). I know which one I'd choose. I am lucky, things are improving, I will be getting busy again shortly(it aways dies down after the 11+ and enterance exams) as people start to worry about SATS. So when we ride out the next few weeks (and I keep DH calm)things will be finally on the up. Now if only this d@mm housekeping lark was that easy!!!!!!!!!!!!! PP hope you feel better very soon HUGS. Kyle hugs to you aswell .Hope all of your family get back to full health real soon. Hugs to everybody that needs them. Cats all fed etc, they are all in but not too happy with me as I haven't put the fire on yet! Today I am goin to do........STUFF!!!! Try to get SOMETHING done, will be making soup, ringing my Aunt(that lost her husband on Christmas eve) and tidying the cesspit that passes for my living room! Have a good day everyone and again, thanks for being there.Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

Good morning to all, hugs to all that are poorly or/and in pain.
I had a good nights sleep for the first time in ages. I have already washed kitchen floor and polished in the front room. Need to move all the stuff out of there that should be somewhere else next.
Have been told that SD, SDpartner and SS are coming and STAYING over the weekend. I have sent a text to say no!!!! I am not prepared to have a house full of peeps I don't get on with overnight. I know that they are OH kids but they don't like me - I thought I was doing well to have them all day on Saturday. For those who don't know they are not children but 24,19 and 15.
I need to do some more admin today - working from home for a bit extra but it is taking me ages as I can't get motivated.
I am hoping to start a course tonight which will train me to do voluntary work with families with children under 5 that need support. However my confidence is shaky and I am not sure I will get there. I have not worked for a couple of years due to health and depression issues so I am scared.
Will try and BM on later as ex husband is coming round and I want to show him that I am an amazing housewife and this is what he is missing.
Made a bread pud yesterday which was amazing - usually throw away left over bread but will def do this again.
Love to all that need it.
CCstar if you are around hope today you feel a bit better.
