I to have had only one experience of frankie and bennys, and it was awful, we will never return!!
We are currently looking for a place to eat out for my 30th birthday next month, we want to take the kids so has to be somewhere with ffod they like, we are thinking of a local mexican as they also serve pizzas!!Kids eh!!Made everything hard LOL.
FENCE UPDATE.
The are making a good job, have put up a retaining wall made out of posts and plinths, and have backfilled it to make a flowerbed type thing, dh already decided heather and lavender going in there!! They have replaced witches plinth and post, and this is the best bit have put a panel in thats too big and bright orange, i think it is just there to support post whilst it sets, but witch will be going mental!!! She told me when this all started she hates any colour on panels, so even if it isnt perminant she will be stressing out!!hahahah
Crazychik just been round to have a look, and we both were laughing hope witch saw us!!
The only down side is my garden looks like a mud bath, but cant be helped and dh was ok about it when he saw it, will take abit of work to get the grass back to how it was but will be worth it.
Any way best get off and sort tea, catch u all later

Love the update re the fence. One of my colleagues' (who we detest) absolutely hates the colour orange. We play all sort of rather childish games, sending e-mails in orange etc! We will have to be careful we don't get done for bullying but he is a pompous fool and leaves himself wide open to it. One colleague gave him orange socks last year for Christmas. I did think that took things a tad too far! The Council couldn't have made a better choice of colour!!!
Don't worry too much about the garden. Once Spring comes it won't take too long to repair itself. I remember once years ago I decided to scarify my back lawn with an electric thingy I borrowed. 20 bin bags of moss later I had no grass left! Oops. However, in the Spring it sprouted beautifully and I can honestly say I have never had the same problem again. Mind you I do get GreenThumb 4 times a year to apply weed/feed stuff. £16 a treatment but by the time you buy the stuff yourself and spread (always uneven), I feel I would rather pay. It certainly cuts down the dandelions etc. However, this is a signal I need a G & T - I am rambling (like a rose heeeee heeee!). What on earth has got into me tonight.

Lol grannybroon,
I was so worried what dh would say about grass, as it was his `baby` he planted it from seed and the kids are banned from this part of the garden, and when i sat on it last summer he went mad!!LOL.
We didnt have a big garden until we moved here 3 years ago and he loves gardening and so do i, he even worked for a lanscape gardening company for a while but thats another long story.
I seem to have lots of those dont i!!!!Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -

However my confidence is shaky and I am not sure I will get there. I have not worked for a couple of years due to health and depression issues so I am scared.
Louise
Hi Louise, That sounds like a very good worth while course to do. I suffered with depression, and I found by getting through it was getting back to work, now Ive started a new job, I feel a whole lot better in myself. Perhaps this course, might make you feel better in yourself. Hope it works out for you.
Not had chance to read this afternoons thread, so will do that in between doing dinner.
Had a better day at work. So feel in a positive mood. For a change!
DD is about ready to go to cubs, OH will take her, I will try and crack on with some washing.
Had loads of stuff sell on ebay today so will be busy wrapping the items up ready to be posted tomorrow.
I went to see the nurse ref my ear! She says Ive got congestion! if ive spelt it right, she has given me me sudofed and advised me to inhale menthol crystals.
She looked in my ears and says the greenie coloured stuff has now gone and they look healthy. Got to try what she mentioned for 21days and if no better to go back again. That doesnt help with the fact Im still talking echoey and my ears keep popping (like the effect you get on a plane with the pressure)
Anyway, best be off and make a start on my evening chores
Will catch you later
Love as usual xxx
EmmaHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
We've had a bad experience in Franky and Bennys too - We won't return - they offered us a free meal but that wasn't going to get me in the doors again.
I've been industrious today and made 14 cards - mostly valentine style ones so that I can get DH to take them into work to sell, enjoyed getting all the craft stuff out again - have left it out to do more tomorrow.....really would like a spare room or a shed to dedicate to it all but hey ho.
BM is doing some dough for rolls to go with soup tonight for me and DH and I made a microwave sponge pudding but although it looked fine, when I turned it out it hadn't cooked properly......bunged it back in the microwave for a bit - I'm sure it will be lovely - just doesn't look it! :rotfl: (once the custard is on - no one will know)
DD1 is out for tea then off to play rehersals so won't be home until about 9.30 tonight - not quite sure when she's supposed to fit her homework in, she's teachers pet though so gets away with it by offering to do something else....today she spent her lunch hour teaching 32 kids how to play the recorder...Think I would rather have done the homework.
Glad your fence is getting there DLB, my garden's a complete state after having the extension built but it's not been dry enough to get out there and do anything to help it.
Mushy - Sorry to hear about your bag - MIL had hers stolen last year - she said it was the little things like her fav lippy and a few personal bits and bobs that she kept that were usless to anyone else....
VickyA - Good luck with the landlord and the sale - might be worth heading over to the housebuying and renting boards to see what your rights are...
Cat - Well done on your blood results - Are you drinking enough water on your diet - sometimes if your dehydrated the weight just doesn't shift.

Hi again DLB
I love gardening too - it can be very relaxing and rewarding. I just love to fill mine with loads of colour in the summer. The brighter the better. However, for some reason I was a bit off the boil in the Autumn and there are still skeletons and weeds from the bedding plants needing removed. I think it was the double glazing installation late September that knocked me off the perch. Next year will probably be worse with third grandchild due early July. I think Grannybroon will be busy!
We do go on a bit don't we!!!!!!!!!!

Crazychik it will get better, I had this 3 years ago and it drove me nuts as I thought it would never go, it took a few weeks but eventually cleared up on it's own.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Our contract says that we would be given 2 months notice by the landlord. You never know, the buyer may well be a buy to let and so would need a tenant.I've just had a look around the local letting agents' websites and we're getting an excellent deal on rent, it seems, in this current house.
I'll have a nosey over on the housebuying/renting boards too.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

Hi everyone.
I've not had time to read the thread yet it's been another busy day. After walking the kids to school I went off to the dentist to have my broken tooth repaired again (twice in two weeks). Then I had to call into Boots from some more bandages for DD's sprained finger, oh yes and to have another look in the 75% sale!
DH is still off work with man-flu so I hoovered, dusted and cleaned around him. I called in to our local shop to collect my £10 win on my lottery ticket only to find out I had actually won £35! I buy my ticket every 5 weeks and sometimes forget to check the numbers after each draw. I had another old ticket from November and thought I'd try my luck and get it checked and guess what? I'd won £10 on that one too. So today I made a grand total of £45.20 (found 20p in dentist waiting room)! :j
I've got to go out in half an hour to a PCC meeting at church so I'll try to read the thread later on. Bye for now.0
