felt very angry today at Celebrity Big Brother. The bullying has gone on too long and is really tainting their image and Channel 4 don't seem to be doing anything about it. I am boycotting Big Brother till I see some appropriate action taken. It is one of my favourite programmes but I feel very strong feelings about bullying, as I experienced the same treatment throughout my young life at one time or another, mostly at school or in female only offices.

I am not fan of Shilpa but the way the bullies have treated her is beyond disgraceful, and I am sickened by the way nothing has been done about it.

I agree, i think its purely nasty bullying, and im surprised BB havnt had them all in to sort it out. I was also very concerned about the chicken last night, and the fact that BB were letting them eat half cooked food (which was giving them all 'tummy upsets') surely they can see whats happening!!!!

Not been watching it but news bulletins at work saying thousands have phoned in and it has been raised in Parliament - a definite racist/bully issue!

Hi everyone, thank you for your warm welcome - it's much appreciated. :D

I've not managed as much as I'd like to have today, only half the paperwork  (when I get straight this time I will be doing it daily as this is a big pain for me!!!) due to the microwave dying after me trying to cook my baked pot. for dinner and as we use it a lot - not for ready meals LOL - hubby took me to Argos for another one before he went to work.

The children have finally settled off to sleep,:T :T :T and so we will be eating soon and then an early night for me as I start work at 7am tomorrow.

On a really positive note I have some ongoing 'women's problems' and to rule out anything major had some scans done 2 weeks ago and they have come back all clear. so I will be celebrating on Friday night as I won't have work on Saturday morning.

I hope all of you who are poorly are feeling a little better and hugs to anyone who needs one.

Hello everyone ... sorry I haven't had time to read the thread properly but (((hugs))) to those who need one.

A busy day today - early start for w**K and a late finish. Another couple of mornings of early starts tomorrow and Thursday too.

We had HM pasta and a bacon and tomato sauce topping for dinner tonight. A combined effort by OH and myself. He does the pasta and I do the sauce.

Tomorrow night, I plan for gammon in cheese sauce, broccoli and jacket potatoes. For lunch we'll be taking HM lentil soup and a roll.

Have a lovely OS day everyone!
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D

    Evening all.
Well the kids were about to go to bed but ds1 footy maanager just rang to see if dh and all 3 boys want to go and watch england under 21`s vs spain on feb 6th at derby.
They are so excited!!!!! We cant afford to pay to go and watch big matchs, and they are all footy mad, ds`s football club have got reduced price tickets so it will only cost £28 for dh and 3 boys and that includes coach there and back, whaich i thought was a great price.

So when they have calmed down will get then off to bed.
Hope we are all ok this evening

Footie sounds a great bargain. DH pays £20+ every other week for home game. When DS at home - quite a blip in budget - could only afford the 'big' games.

Hope it is a good result for them!

I think the Big Brother thing really hit a nerve.
A lot of us, me included, have been in situations where they try their best, but are constantly put down by nasty vindictive stupid people.
Credit to Shilpa for maintaining her dignity. She is a million times better than those low lifes, and credit to the british people for condeming the disgracful actions of Jade and Co.
    Big Brother made her.
    Big Brother will break her.

  • Hello. I've been lurking around here for a while, and thought I'd say hi and hopefully join in a bit, as long as you don't mind having me. Just posted on the getting to know you thread if you want to know a bit about me.

I've been slowly getting more and more into the OS way of things. I'm sure over the next few days I'll be after some help as we're trying to use up the stuff in the cupboards and freezer etc and we're beginning to run low, time for some major creative cooking I feel. Though atleast the boyfriend is cooking dinner tomorrow as he's working from home :)

    Evening all,

well, 3 days to 'D' day - d being 'dentist' Am always really nervous even going in for checkups, and I'm probably going to be climbing the walls on friday! Thankfully my lovely OH has taken the day off work to come with me. I know its only getting one tooth taken out, but I'm a wuss :o

Other than that, things are going on much as usual. Had a lovely pasta and garlic bread for tea, so not snacking as much as usual tonight :T Got some of the kitchen tidied up too, and have managed to sort through most of my craft stuff which is great - got some bits put aside for kyle so must remember where I've put them :D

Sorry to hear so many people are feeling poorly - there seems to be so many bugs going around just now. You just finish one thing and then catch another  Hope you all feel better soon! Dlb - great to hear you've got your fence sorted out - you must be sooo happy :j

Welcome to all new people - hope you've made yourself comfortable: once you join in here, you find yourself spending ever more time on the computer... :rotfl:

Good luck with the sponsored slim kyle - I know you'll do great! :j
