Just been to the newsagents, had a few lottery tickets, had them checked to make sure I had not won anything, as per, no, the only ever time I have one was on a triple rollover some years ago-£84 oh and £20 on a scratchcard once that was given to me in a card for my birthday:D
Anyway, whilst there chatting to the SA and she said the lady before me had come in and spent £44, yes £44:eek: on scratchards and not won a single penny, oh I couldn't ,imagine what you could do with that money:D
Made me think though, OH always says you are wasting money on the lottery (only ever do it when it is a rollover, never each week) he wouldn't complain though if we won:rotfl::rotfl:

Zero, nothing, nada. Tax on the financially illiterate, I reckon....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

I never buy scratch cards/ lottery tickets.
I know you have to be in it to win it... but I'm the unluckiest person in the world when it comes to it! So I prefer to waste my money on other things :rotfl:0 -
15 euro's a month. That's for one ticket, draw once a month. Only exception is in April for Queen's Day and an extra draw at New Year's.
Won a few small amounts several times a year and all winnings are tax free, so I feel it's worth a shot. Prizes range from 7.50 to 30 million.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Never bought one. Was given one for a present once, won £5, collected it and never bought one again. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

I've already paid my taxes, so no.0

£15 a week. Never bother buying extras for big rollovers though.0

My Dad calls it the Stupid Tax. I have to agree somewhat. And no I never play it. Youre more likely to get struck by lighting than win the lottery.
My Nan used to put £1 in a jar each week and my Grandad bought a ticket each week. At the end of the year theyd tot up who had the most. My Grandad did win £10 a couple of times, but my Nan always had the most!0 -
Nothing. Used to play the lottery when it first came out but haven't bought a ticket for about 8 years.
Was given a scratchcard in a birthday card last year & won £5.00 but would never buy one myself.0 -
Not a red cent ever on either. Why would I buy a lottery ticket when I've got a better chance of being killed by the satellite that's about to crash to earth than I have of winning a tenner..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
