I wore vests until I changed over to bras - so up till about the age of 10 or 11 I suppose. same for DD, she changed to crop tops first though.
Maybe we keep our "simmits" on for longer up here in the frozen North

DS still wears to school age 16 cos then he doesn't have to wear his school jumper in the winter and just wearing a shirt is apparently a much better look!!:D0
