Morning all,
It feels like an eternity since I last posted, had loads going on, some good, some not so good.
Hopefully we've got DDs asthma now under control after doing a midnight run to A&E last week as I was really concerned about her breathing, left the house so fast I completley forgot to tell DS (15yrs) what was happening but needless to say when we returned home some 5 hours later he was still oblivious to what had happenedback tomorrow at the clinic to check her meds are working, which I think are as there has been a huge improvement and shes back at school today. Have to trek up to school at lunch time to give her the inhaler as the school won't but at least it will give me chance to make sure shes okay.
Hugs to those who need um, will try & pop back later
Take care
Ice

Moggins and Catowen - My Ds is also the same, he is Yr 2 and does exactly the same as your children. Catowen, I am glad to hear your ds grew out of it as that's what I think, what you both say is very similar to what what I feel, he's not like this at home, he is bright and needs stimulation but he is equally immature and I feel as soon as he grows up a little he will want to fit in with his peers more . He has twice been assesed on their feelings that he has ADHD and both times I have said I am certain he does not but have gone along with it and BOTH times the "experts" have come back saying he does not. I find with my ds that they are constantly wanting to give him a label without addressing the actual problem that standard teaching methods do not suit my son - yet.
I a lucky my mum was a health visitor and helps keep me sane as she has always thought the same things as me. Good luck Moggins0 -
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this board so please be gentle with me!
I'm forty years old, am a stay at home Mum to Leah who was two-and-a-half on Boxing Day and am married to Alan.
I'm not really organised and spend most of the morning in my nightie on the computer so I am looking to you all for inspiration!
I really am inspired by you all. I've been reading your messages for a few days and really feel like blitzing the house now. :T
I also opened an Amazon seller's account last week so am going to sort throught the pile of books I have under the stairs which were going to go to the charity shop and will get listing some.
I've also started sorting a few drawers out. It's amazing how much stuff is crammed into drawers when they could just as easily have been put straight in the bin!
I've also started sorting out old newspapers that are lying around the house, some dated August last year! Oh the embarrassment!
Anyway, Leah and I have both had our breakfast, the WM is on (see I'm learning the forum language!) and I will be starting the washing up soon. My Mum picked me up a bottle of Stardrops in Wilkos the other day which I'm looking forward to finding lots of uses for!
I just need a kick up the backside to go and get dressed!
Anyway, best wishes to everyone, especially those not feeling 100%.
Have a great day. :jI'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!
I seem to have a nasty habit of killing threads!0 -

Hi Soapy955
Welcome to OS.
Have a look at THIS THREAD for lots of useful advice about selling your stuff on Amazon.
It's really addictive once you sell a few old books! :j0 -
Morning all :hello:
Some of you do start early!
(((((HUGS))))) all round. Seem to be a lot needed this morning.
Just had an email from my old work to let me know my former boss's husband died at weekend (only diagnosed last Oct)
And it's a grey morning - always feel better when the sun is shining.
But I must get moving. So walk down to corner shop for a paper and to look for a card. Then on to moggin's FL list and get the house sorted.
Will be back when I have earned a :coffee:0 -

Welcome Soapy (love your name!!)
Had a sluggish morning myself - I havent really got a good routine for working from home which I could really do with sorting out - still back to madness on Wednesday so I guess I am making the most of a bit of hometime.
Got an MS job today and it just happens to be near the QVC shop so may have a little nosey in there. Very disappointed with Next today - I ordered a lovely suit in the sale before christmas and they sent the trousers which are gorgeous (particularly for only 15 quid!!) they put the jacket on 1-2 week delivery so when the courier arrived this morning I assumed it would be it - opened the package and they had sent me a long black prom dress described on the invoice as my brown jacket:mad: (lol its a long time since I could get away with going to a prom:rotfl: ) oh and guess what -jacket is out of stock now so its back to the shop with the dress and the trousers as they are no good without the jacket:rolleyes: Exactly the same happened to me last sale so I think I may learn my lesson this time.
Everest has been slowly forming in my bedroom so its out with iron tonight I guess and food wise - something mysterious and potentially dodgy from the freezer again:D
Have a good day all
Hugs
Nels xx0
