Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 15th Jan. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
OK this is the first time i have started this and cant see anyone else has started thread
havent had the chance to read threads of the last few days but i hope everyone is getting over their illnesses of past weeks and families also recovering
plans for mon-
do food shop for kids for when we go on hol on wed
get cases down from loft and think about starting to pack
fish is out of freezer to make fish pie for dinner-still using up stuff from freezer
phone my friend later to make plans for lunch out on tues-shes 40 tomorrow-well suppose its actually today and im 40 on the 20th
might post back later but thats all for now
everyone have a great day ,keep well and be happy

Morning Janey, morning everyone else!
Having a bit of a sleepless one...so posting a few words while I try to distract myself. Life has been terribly boring (you'd think that would make me sleep....but no, lol!). I haven't been posting too much lately, as there really is nothing to tell you.
However I am looking forward to the London mini-meet, in honour of AussieLass's arrival in the UK...it's on the 10th of February, just in case anybody has missed the discussion about it. W*r* is being a bit slippery about time off, but whatever happens I will be there!
Have a fabulous Monday everyone.

Hi everyone
Feeling a bit down and unable to sleep
Had a bad day today. My husband has been really nasty to me today, called me allsorts, all because I felt tired and said it was a bad time to talk about a subject at that given moment. His empathy gene was well and truly gone today. We had 2 nasty rows and I feel raw and shakey.
I managed to do some cleaning to get rid of my anger and upset but don't need this when trying to prepare to sell a house. I had a good day on Saturday, happy to see progress and meet some my son's friends. I sometimes wonder if he hates me feeling good about myself or when I am feeling tired or unwell. I feel he has some problem he won't address and it is getting me down.
He was the same when I had severe 'female' problems which have now been sorted. He cannot leave me alone to rest when I am under the weather or celebrate with me when feel happy about any acheivement. This situation seems to happen when I feel either happy or tired or ill.
I also feel upset at Celebrity Big Brother. Jade is taking her vendetta against Shilpa too far and reduced her to tears. I wish the producers would deal with it. It makes my blood boil when I see bullies get away with it.
As I have said in other threads, I abhor bullying of any sort or people who make you feel bad for being a human being.
I felt really positive this time last week, now I feel so lost and unsure of anything, except getting rid of this house and getting away. I can decide whether I take my share and go it alone or if we can sort this out once and for all, stay together.
Sorry to be such a downer but I am determined to get this sorted out and get out of this hellhole. An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:
:eek::mad: :beer:
I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.0 -
Good morning everyone.
CCStar, you do sound really down……..I don't know what to suggest, but I hope that you feel better soon. <<Hugs>>
It was a relaxing weekend here. Saturday; watched Ds's rugby match and spent the rest of the day at home. Did a bit of cooking and made blueberry pancakes, but that’s about it. Sunday; went to see my Dad, had a walk on the beach and made roast lamb for dinner….nothing particularly interesting but it was a good weekend.
Today will be a catch up day……..I need to sort out all those jobs I'd left until the weekend but didn’t do.
So plans for today:
Clean out the fire and polish the fireplace and the rest of the living room
Vacuum the whole house
Clean all of the windows
Sort out two toy boxes filled with miniscule bits and pieces of [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] precious things
Make a chicken curry for dinner
:bdaycake: Belated birthday wishes to Kaz and Lillibet :bdaycake:
Have a good day everyone.

Hiya everyone,
Just home for our lunch break and DH is having a wee rest on the bed so I thought I'd pop on here. Another stinking hot day. Roll on freezing Scotland.Well the plumber didn't turn up, bless his little heart. Tomorrow morning. Cutting things a wee bit fine but hey ho what's a bit more stress on top of everything else.
Having problems with the gas delivery so hopefully that will get sorted this arv. DD home and won't know until late arv about her car.
Snowy I was just thinking of you today. I don't know if I can pack that 6 ft tall, bronzed, aussie life saver in my bag that you wanted. Will a blow up one do?
Well back to the grindstone. Have a lovely day all and (hugs) to those feeling a bit down, ill etc.
Pink I have a million boxes filled with [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] precious things. Could you make me a chicken curry too?Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Morning all! :j
((((((HUGS)))))) CCStar! Hope you feel better soon!
HUGS to Kyle too!
I pulled an allnighter as I wasn't sleepy and I want to do a few things early today.
I was due to start jury service this morning, but Saturday I received a letter saying I'm not needed until April. I'm self employed, and have arranged to have these next two weeks clear (the court pays anyway for jury service), so now I have no work. I have emailed the various companies I work for - I'm a market researcher - to see if there is anything going, but all the January work is allocated now, so all I can hope for is some cancellations.
However: I have no debts and am due a good tax refund, so I'm counting my blessings! So: I shall spend the next two weeks doing things I need to do, especially strip the bathroom floor and varnish the floorboards...:p
Have a good day everyone!:)
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0
